After the amazing kiss she sat back in her seat. Gabriela thanked Jacob for the date and Jacob in reply told her that she deserved only the best and that he would be more than happy to give it to her. Gabriela blushed and mumbled under her breath about how unreal this man was. Even though Jacob already knew all Gabriela’s information, he didn’t want her to know that he was a stalker, so he asked the superfluous question. “Where do you live?” Gabriela was unsure whether she wanted this man to know her home address. Look what happened last time we gave out that information, was her brain’s retort. But he is different. Her heart replied, so she went with her heart and gave him her home address.
The ride home was silent except for the radio playing a soft melody. Gabriela enjoyed the silence, she could think better than with chaos. She thought about how she so blindly trusted a man that she had met in a library. She thought about how he could have been a serial killer even a rapist and she just blindly put her faith in him, trusting him to get her home safely. But she could not deny the butterflies in her stomach when she first met him nor could she deny the Zoo in her stomach when they kissed. She realised that she was starting to fall for this handsome devil.
While Jacob’s thoughts were a little different. His thoughts were more like a jumble of adjectives. Beautiful, Gorgeous, Caring, Amazing, Trusting, Sexy, Committed, Cute, Crazy, Talented, Well-read, etc. He drove to her house. It was small but beautiful. The garden up front was neatly kept. Jacob saw many fruits and vegetable plants which surprised him as the information he got on her did not entail hobbies that specifically. He turned to her. ”You plant?” After asking the question he realized he sounded like a kindergartner that did not know how to form entire sentences. Gabriela smiled at him as a small tint of pink crept up his neck. “Yes I love planting especially fruits, since they have some of the most beautiful flowers while growing.” Jacob smiled at her and she smiled back.
Gabriela’s eyes drifted from Jacob’s to the clock on the dashboard. She jumped slightly at the time it was 10 ‘o clock, as she remembered that she still had to bake blueberry muffins for the library. “Oh fudge I didn’t even realise it was that late. I had a great time tonight Jacob, thank you, again. I hope I’ll see you again at the library sometime, maybe on a regular basis.” She said the last part with a hopeful tone which mad Jacob’s ego even bigger than normal. “Can’t get enough of me, can you?” His reply only made Gabriela blush.
Gabriela opened the door to get out and head inside when Jacob leaned over and pulled the door shut, turning her to face him. “What did I say about opening the door Princess?” “Sorry.” As she whispered the word, her breath blew over his lips, he leaned closer and kissed her softly. It was a gentle kiss that showed adoration. After the kiss ended Jacob got out of the car, walked over to her side and opened her door for her. Gabriela grabbed onto his hand as he helped her out. They walked in silence over to her front porch. Jacob turned her to him. “Gabriela, would you go on a third date with me tomorrow?” Gabriela was overjoyed and quickly nodded her head while smiling. Jacob took her hands in both of his and kissed the back of them softly. “Until tomorrow my love.” Gabriela smiled brightly and gave Jacob a very long hug. Jacob’s heart was almost jumping out of his chest at his happiness. When they pulled away he said goodnight as Gabriela said don’t let the bed bugs bite.
Gabriela unlocked her front door and walked inside as Jacob got into his car. Gabriela smiled broadly as she welcomed the silence of the small house. When Jacob was sure she was inside safely he got into his car and drove off in a daze. Gabriela sighed as the events of the night played over and over in her head. He was the perfect gentleman. She knew without a doubt that she was starting to fall for him. Even in only a day she could see her future with him.
Gabriela hung her keys on the hook by the door and took off her shoes walking to her room. She threw her shoes in her cupboard where the others were and took out a night gown. Grabbing a towel she went to the bathroom to take a quick shower. She came out feeling refreshed in her pink gown and climbed into bed. After lying down for ten seconds she realised she had muffins to bake so she shot out of the bed and ran downstairs to bake the delicious goodies. When she placed the batch in the oven she quickly made work of cleaning, rinsing and drying the dishes. Placing the last bowl into the cupboard the oven bell dinged. She took out the muffins and placed them in a box. She went back upstairs and fell into a peaceful sleep. Dreaming about a handsome devil.
