After the Greek god left Gabriela could hardly focus. Her thoughts kept drifting back to him. His eyes. His lips. His smile.
Time seemed to go by faster and now it was six o clock, time to lock up. She threw the empty box that she used for the muffins in the bin and removed the black bag from it. After that she washed, rinsed and dried the cups in the back room of the library and packed them in the cupboard. While walking out she took the garbage bag, tied it up and threw it onto the stand where the garbage truck would pick it up on Monday. It was now Saturday so they would pick it up in two days.
It was already dark outside, the shadows of the night gave her an eerie feeling. As she looked around she noticed an unfamiliar black car in the farthest corner of the car park. She turned around and went back into the library to get her bag and the book she was reading. She was locking up when a person put their hand on her right shoulder. She had been afraid of working late especially since the library wasn't in the best parts of the town. But this was the only job that she had liked and that met her schedule. Remembering a technique she learned in self-defence class she grabbed the person's hand with her left and pulled it with all her strength over her shoulder crouching low so the person would flip over her and land onto the ground. He groaned in pain. He didn't expect her to react in such a way to a simple touch.
Now that the person was in front of her with the light outside the library showing their face, Gabriela freaked out even more. It was Jacob. "Oh my God are you okay? I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to hurt you. I was just afraid that you were some creepy bad guy." She helped him up. He smiled at her for many reasons. One, his girl was strong. Two, she cared for him and his well being. Three, she still didn't know that he was in fact a bad guy and probably creepy since he stalked her and had an investigator give him all her details from her birth up until her apartment location and occupation. He only realised that he had been zoning out when she was flashing her phone's flashlight into his eyes.
"Um what are you doing?"He asked. "Oh thank God. I was afraid that you had brain damage because you didn't reply to my question." He just chuckled at her, he'd been through worse but she didn't need to know that. "Are you done?" he asked her gently. She replied with a nod and pulled the key out of the door, placing it inside her bag. "Where are we going?" She was curious. "It's a surprise. Come Milady." He held out his arm for her. She looped her arm through his and he took her to his car. He opened the door of his black Mercedes and she climbed in. he closed the door and walked over to his side. He got inside the car and turned over in his seat to face her. "You look beautiful." She blushed. "Thank you." He turned back, started the car and took off down the road, the radio was on a low volume and a soft melody filled the silence in the car.
When they stopped at a restaurant called Grayson's, Gabriela's eyes widened. She turned in her seat to face him. "Is this your restaurant?" She loved this restaurant it had the best food in this small town. But she would only come here on special occasions since the food was expensive. He saw the sparkle in her eyes when they pulled up and was glad that she liked this place. After all it was his restaurant and he wanted her to like everything that was even remotely related to him.
He shut off the car, opened his door, got out and closed it. As he started walking over to her side of the car her door opened. He rushed to help her get out of the car, he wanted to be a chivalrous gentleman for her. She was startled. He smirked at her while saying. "The gentleman usually opens the door for his lady. She doesn't do it herself." She blushed, as she looked up at him through her lashes she gave him a cheeky smile, grabbed the door handle and closed the door again.
Jacob smirked at Gabriela and opened the door himself. He held out his hand and she grabbed onto it. Every time they held hands Jacob would feel tingles rushing up his arm. He smiled at her as she got out. Jacob closed the car door and locked it.
Walking hand-in-hand up to the beautiful restaurant Gabriela's mind ran wild. Oh My Gosh these tingles feel so good. Oh My Gosh he is so perfect.
Jacob opened the door and walked up to the receptionist. He didn't need to say anything. "Your table is right through here sir." They were brought to a table set up outside. Candles lit up the area and red roses were placed in the middle of the table. Gabriela was in awe of the perfect view. The receptionist placed their menus on the table and left.
