Through the Galaxy's Eyes
Chapter 1:The Cold Boss"Our server has been down for an hour now, Miss Falnaer. Customers are calling non stop for their complains."
I kept on combing my hair for the past hour due to stress. I almost slam my keyboard with my phone when the other line got cut off due to the signal.
The raindrops outside wasn't helping. I can see some of them from my office going through papers and rambling through their mic to answer some of the complains.
"What seems to be the problem? Akala ko ba naging okay na 'to? Didn't I tell George to go meet with the technician?" Halos isigaw ko iyon kay Keith.
"B-But Miss... you told me that you'll talk with the technician personally. You were talking about this new idea for the web-" Naputol kaagad ang pagsasalita nito dahil tumunog ang telepono na hawak.
I nodded at her and she immediately exit the room to answer the call. It must be another complain or one of the business man that I am about to face this afternoon.
I grab my planner and open it. She was just trying to help me that's why I felt guilty on the way I acted towards her awhile ago.
I know she wasn't able to remind me about this days ago too kasi naalala kong pinadala ko siya para masamahan si Astrid sa isang meeting.
I sigh and close my eyes. I massage the bridge of my nose to try and relax. Narinig kong bumukas nag pinto. George entered the office and she looks devastated too. She looks at the glass and observed the chaos outside before bringing her gaze back to me.
I saw how my employees stiffed when the curtain slowly covered the glass. They all look nervous and was about to faint.
I don't mind being seen by my employees. I was the one who suggest to have a glass partition as a wall para makita ko sila mula sa loob. It also help me monitor their doings.
There were rumors circulating that whenever I close my curtain, bad news will always follow. Either it's a failed business meeting or someone getting fired. It wasn't a secret that they call me the bitchy Elsa. They somehow fear me because of my stiffness and cold nature. I can't blame them though. I am too focus in work that I sometimes forget to eat!
Which reminds me.
I coughed and sniff. Minasahe ko ang lalamunan ko. Kanina pa 'to kumakati. Looks like the lemon juice didn't work.
"You're not an immortal, Alex. You get tired, you get sick, you get stress! So for the nth time, get another secretary!"
