Carah Academy is a large school. Some may call it an elite school; only the most rich or most talented can go there. I've been hearing rumours shuffling through Carah District about how an emotionless and her twin brother had gotten into the academy, with no skill, and apparently, no money. I smirked, the small blade I was spinning in my hand came to a halt as I clenched my fist over it. Those idiots actually got in, under the radar, more or less. It was good. People talk about the strange duo when they see them, but they are never suspected like me, tall and gangly with a memorable face that screams 'Murder.' I stood up from the wall I was leaning on, shoving the knife in my pocket as I left the scene in the dark, Carah alleyways.I could hear the light scratching of chalk on the blackboard and the smell of citrus and many other chemicals dusted the science room I was sitting in. But I wasn't paying attention to what was happening around me. Instead, my eyes were locked on a certain redhead sitting three seats in front of me, his blue and white cap perched neatly on the corner of his desk and he was writing down everything the teacher had to say. I jumped when I felt someone tap on my shoulder, turning my head to see one of my friends, Kairu. He was looking at me weirdly, his electric yellow eyes wide and his smirk looked evil.
"Stop it Okotta, you're getting weird looks," He stated. I glared at him, feeling my face heat up.
"Yeah, weird looks like yours!" I hissed back at him, causing his jet black hair to rise in anger. Kairu looks funny when he is mad; his Ability always seems to activate, causing his hair to stand on end due to the electricity he generates. I sighed, turning back to the front of the class. I thought it would be a good idea to listen to what the teacher had to say. Science was usually very interesting, especially when we're talking about human laws and physics. Earth seems so different to Teru.
"Who can tell me the difference between a Human eye and a Terunian eye?" Instantly, Skye's hand shot up. The emotionless seemed to know everything, same with her brother.
"A human pupil is black, to allow light to enter the eye, while we have white pupils because we don't need as much light to see," The teacher nodded at her answer, scribbling it up on the board. Instantly, Skye's brother's hand began to move, recording down what he just learned. I felt another tap on my shoulder, turning back to face Kairu. He still had that stupid expression on his face.
"Do you even know his name?" he questioned, causing me to smack him over the back of his head.
"No, but I'll find out... soon," he chuckled at my unsureness as the bell rang, standing up to pack his bag.
"Alright, I'll leave you to it, see you tomorrow, Otta!" The energetic boy sprinted out of class, gaining an angered yell from the teacher, who didn't let the class go yet.
I began walking home, stopping in my tracks when I saw a poster. I looked at it closely, seeing a teenage boy's face printed in black and white on the sheet. He had tired eyes and shaggy hair with piercing eyes that were frightening to stare at. The boy looked like an animal, like he could jump out and kill you at any moment.
