Cassie P.O.V.
When I wake up the next morning, I’m not sure if it’s real life or a fantasy. I open my eyes and sleepily look up to see Draco watching me, tracing small circles on my bare back. He kisses me softly on the lips, pulling me closer to his chest. I smile into the kiss, noticing for the first time that we’re curled up together on the floor in a warm cocoon of blankets. The fire has long since gone out, but the room is still bright.
“Good morning,” I say softly, sitting up slightly and covering myself with the blanket.
Draco laughs quietly and replies, “This is going to sound creepy, but you’re really cute when you sleep.”
I raise an eyebrow, saying, “Very creepy, actually.”
He suddenly leans down and kisses me as soon as I finish speaking, then rolls over on top of me, deepening the kiss. I wrap my arms around his neck, practically melting at his touch. Feeling him bite my bottom lip, I open my mouth slightly and let his tongue in willingly.
Then I remember…we have classes today.
My eyes snap open and I break away from him, breathing heavily. “I just remembered—we have to get to class! What if we’re late—“
Draco groans and rolls off me, complaining, “Can’t we just skip all our classes? We can pretend it’s Saturday—“
He stops talking as I clamber out of our nest of blankets and stumble to the couch, looking for my robes. I finally find them and turn triumphantly, then blush furiously as I realize Draco’s watching me with his mouth half open. I raise my head high and snap playfully, “Do you mind?”
Draco shakes his head and turns the other way, muttering, “Right, sorry, sorry…”
I pull my clothes on from yesterday, wishing I could take a shower or at least have clean clothes to wear. Doing up the last button on my robe, I say to Draco, “Well, you can look now. Get changed, hurry!”
“Calm down,” he snorts, starting to untangle himself from the blankets. “Everyone’s still eating anyway.”
“How do you know?” I ask frantically, trying desperately to fix my hair so it looks some-what presentable. As Draco pulls his pants on, I say worriedly, “I look like a mess, I should have brought makeup—“
Draco comes up behind me and kisses into the curve of my neck, making me tilt my head back with a small sigh. He mumbles softly into my skin, “Cassie, you don’t need makeup.”
I bite my lip, my cheeks turning pink for the second time this morning. I turn and put my hands on his waist, feeling the bare skin above his jeans with my thumbs. I look into his silver eyes and say with a small smile, “How did I get so lucky to be with you?”
He smirks cheekily, putting his hands on my waist as well and pulling me against him, closing the space between us. “Well, I dunno…”
I roll my eyes and say, “Stop distracting yourself and put a shirt on.”
Draco sighs exaggeratedly and turns away, muttering under his breath about how I’d been the one distracting him. I wait impatiently as he slips on his robes, then grab his hand and start pulling him towards the door.
