It all started with the book signing

Chapter 9

   I woke up in Castle's arms. He was sleeping peacefully next to me. He was adorable in his sleep, that's why I didn't wake him up. I climbed out of the bed, went to the kitchen, and started to make breakfast. - Good morning! - the girls came out of their room and sat down at the table. - Good morning, I just finished the breakfast. - I said while I put the plates in front of them. - Thanks. - they smiled at me and I made some coffee for Martha and myself.  - So, you want to tell us something? - Mia asked with a big smile on her face. - I don't think so. - I said with a smile on my face as I went to my room. Castle was still asleep so I quietly grab my stuffs and went to the bathroom. I took a quick shower put on my clothes and went out to the girls. - Okay, ready for school? - they took the last bites of their breakfast and went to get their bags. - Bye grandma - Lex went to the other redhead and gave her a kiss on her cheek. - Bye kiddos! - she smiled at us and we went to the garage. - I will pick you up at 4, and then we can do anything you want. - I looked into the rear-view mirror. The girls looked at each other and then looked at me - Let's go to the playground! - they smiled at me and I parked down. I took both of the girls' hands and walked with them to the school. - If I late stay inside the building, don't come out. If anybody says to you that I send him or she doesn't believe it! Until it's me, uncle Javi or Kevin, auntie Lanie, Rick or gram, okay? - I got down to their level and looked into their eyes. - Are you okay? This is about a case? - they asked and I could clearly hear the fear in their voices. - Everything is alright. Love you so much. - I hugged Mia - And I love you too little redhead. - I smiled at Alexis and I hugged her. They smiled at me and went into the building. I went back to the car and I drove to the Castle household. Martha wrote a note to me and her son that she went to work, which means Castle is still sleeping. I made a coffee for him and went into the room where he was sleeping. I sat down next to him and to my movement, he woke up. - Good morning sleepyhead. - I smiled at him and he mirrored it. - Good morning, thanks - he sat up carefully, took his coffee, still smiling at me. - What time is it? Alexis always comes and wakes me up. - he looked at the clock and he jumped out of the bed. - Calm down, I just came back from school. - I looked up at him because I still sat on the bed - And your mom just left to work, oh, I made breakfast too. - I stood up and went closer to Castle. - You are incredible. - he smiled at me and we leaned close to each out until our lips touched. He was gently kissing me, his hands were wrapped around my waist and my arms were around his torso. - What's your plan for today? - I asked while we broke the kiss. He grabbed his coffee and we started heading to the kitchen. - I have a meeting. You? -  he asked back while he sat down to eat his breakfast. - I will go to the precinct, I want to talk to Gates. I want to work, I'm fine. And I have to work because I need to buy a house. - I explained to him. - I see. One of us has to pick up the girls. Me or you? - he asked after he swallowed the food. It was strange, but in a good way, he was acting like we were together for like 10 years but we not even together! - I told them I will be there by four but if you can make it in time you can come with me. Josh is in the town and I would rather die than anything happen to Mia.- I can't let anything happen to her.  - I will go with you to pick up the girls. I'll call you when I finish. - he smiled and went to his bedroom, meanwhile he dressed up I did the wash-up. - I'll go, call me if there's anything. - he smiled and went to his meeting.

*Castle P.O.V.*

I was heading to her old apartment to talk with the interior decorator. When I arrived he was there checking the house. - Hi, are you Mr.Garcia? - I asked the man in front of me. - Hi, yes, I am. You said to me on the phone that you want to renovate the apartment. - he said while he slid his hands to his pocket. - Yes, I want to renovate it if it's possible. - we walked around the house. - I don't want to be rude but there is nothing I can really renovate. If I were you I will search for a new apartment. - he said while he looked around again. - I see. Thank you for your time. - we said goodbye to each other and I went home. I was upset and disappointed, of course, I was because I want this to be a surprise for her. When I got into the apartment I found Kate on the couch, sleeping. I took a look at the clock, I've finished much sooner than I thought and we have a lot of time to pick up the girls, so I started to make some lunch. It didn't take much time until I was done with the spaghetti, I put the plates and the cutlery onto the table and I went to wake her up. - Hey, lunch is ready. - I sat down on to the armrest and stroked her hair. - Hey, - she smiled sleepily - You said you will call when you finished. - she sat up and I sat down beside her. - Well, I'm glad I didn't, 'cause I could have woken you up. - we were looking at each other like two teenagers in love. - Yeah, true, but I wanted to make some lunch, I just need a nap, my head acted like it's going to explode. Anyway, what did you cook? - we went to the kitchen.
