It all started with the book signing

Chapter 2

We went into our apartment and put down our bags. - You know mom, up to now I don't really have any friends. And now I got one and it's so good to play with somebody. - she said with a big smile on her face. - Mia, baby,  why didn't you tell me that you have no friends? - I got to her level, take her tiny hands in mine and I look into her eyes. - I don't know. It's really doesn't matter to me because I learn all day and after I just wait for you to come and take me home. - she said while she looks at the floor. - I'll always go and bring you home. - I lift her chin and kiss her cheek. - Thank you, mommy! - she hugged me tightly. - So what, are you wanna eat some ice cream? - I stood up. - Is that really a question? - she smiled at me and we went to our favorite spot. We ate our usual and we start to walk home. - Sooo, he is Rick. The kind man whom Auntie Lanie said he is hot. You two were on a date when you came to me? - Mia asked while we wait for the traffic light to change. - Hold on little girl. - I laugh at her embarrassingly. - You don't exactly know who he is. - I said while we went through the street. - He's Rick, Lex father. He's the one you were having dinner with. - she said. - Do you know what's Alexis last name is? - I asked. - No. She just said " Hi I'm Alexis" - she said when we arrived home.  - Well the name Richard Castle says something to you? - I rather said than I asked. - OMG! You are dating our favorite writer?! - she barely shouted. - Mia chill down we are not dating. You know I went on the book signing. When he signed our books he told me that he hopes he will see me again and then your aunt told him that we will be at the restaurant next to the place if he wanna talk with me or something like that. He said he will be there about twenty minutes. He's late and I just were on my way to get you when he arrived and Lanie just stood up and got out of the restaurant and she took you home. We were talking a lot and we had dinner. But he was a little arrogant and egoist. And a bit irritating. - we sit down on the couch and she was listening. - Come on mom he looks like a kind man plus he brings us home. And for God's sake, he's Richard Castle. - She's surprised me with her behavior. - You are spending too much time with your aunt. - I gave her my look. - I know. - she smirked - But you know that I'm right. -  she stood and went to her room. - When did you become 30? - I shouted after her but I didn't get an answer. And she's just seven. I went to my room and I start to work on my laptop. I started with the victims. They didn't have any connection. They just got a commonplace and that's all. I keep searching when I got it. - Mia! - I shouted while I take on my shoes. She came out of her room and when she saw what I was doing she got her bag and I grab her some snacks. - You find the killer? - she asked while we waited for the elevator. - I really hope so. - I said when I called Esposito. I told him what I found. - Okay, bring Mia here and call Castle. - he told me and he hangs up. - Why are you have to call Mr. Castle? - she asked when I started driving. - Because he works with me. - I answered and I dialed his number. - Castle. - he picks up the phone. - Hey, writer boy you're on speaker. Mia is in the car with me. I think I find the killer and now I'm on my way to catch him, you wanna join me? - I asked with a little play in my voice. - I'd love to but I can't leave here Alexis alone. My mother is out of town. - he answered. - I leave Mia at the precinct with Lanie, if Alexis is okay with - Pumpkin, get your bag please - the shout of him cut me off. - I'll see you there in about 15. - and I hang up the call. - Why are you work with him? - my little girl just keeps asking. - Because he needs inspiration. - and I closed the talk and I called my best friend. She is always okay with watching Mia. She loves kids, so when I told her that Castle brings her daughter she said she's more than okay with that. We meet Alexis and her father at the entrance of the precinct. -Hey! - we greet each other and the girls got in front of us happily. We take them up. - So you two have to stay in this room. Alexis, there is a bathroom over there - I pointed to the mentioned place - I bring snacks and drinks and Mia brought her coloring book and her pencils. Lanie is on her way. We will be back in about an hour. Okey? - I look at the girls and they both nodded. I kissed Mia's head and Castle kissed her daughter. - Love you, mommy. - she said and I smiled at her while I get out of the room. - Daddy! - the little girl come after us. We both turn to the girl. - Be careful! It's not one of your books. - she's such a smart girl, just like Mia. - I know sweetheart. - he smiled at the redhead and we went to Kyle Cabot. We bring him in and I interrogate him. When I finished I went to Montgomery and Castle. They were watching behind the mirror. - He had a development personality disorder and hallucination. - I told them - These guys like him mostly focus on one member.  - the writer boy said. - Yes, and who was her nurse? - I asked. - Alison Tisdale. - Rick said immediately. - Yeah, and he had strong medicines too. - I told to the Cap. - He thinks that he has a connection with the writer. The profile was quite exact. - Montgomery said. And I was on my way to left the room when Castle asked " That's it?" - What do you want? His apartment was full of traces and he was related to 3 victims. Two of them were from the coffee shop and one of them was taking care of him. - and he left the room. Castle started to tell me that, " that it's too simple. My readers, they wouldn't read this." Then I disillusioned him. I told him when we find a guy with a weapon next to the body mostly he is the killer. I left him there I went to my daughter. - Hey girls! - I smiled at them. - Hey mommy/Kate! - the girls smiled back at me. - Thanks, Lanie. - I thanked my friend and she went home. - Ready to go home? - I asked Mia. - Yes. I'm tired. - she yawned. - Come on peanut. - I picked her up into my arms. - Bye Lex! Have a good night. - Mia says goodbye to her friend. - Bye Mia! Kate - I turned to the girl - Where is my dad? - she asked. - I'm here - he jumped in the door and with that move, he pushed me. I almost fall to the ground with Mia in my arms but suddenly I felt two arms around me. - I'm so sorry. - he said and he was inches away from me. - No problem, just be careful Castle. - I put all of my power together and I tried not to melt right there. I can't feel that way! He's an idiot. - Daddy, please don't ruin this. - the young Castle took his father's hand. - Good night guys. - I said and we went home. I put my baby into bed and I took a shower. I get into my pj's and I went into my bed.
