I'm not even asking

By the time I got home I was so mentally and kinda physically exhausted, from shock. I flopped on the couch ignoring how Jeffrey and Thomas where talking, about something, over a cup of tea.
My muffled groans was the only sound that echoed around the room. Jeffrey stood up, having his and Thomas's conversation being cut short, and closed the front door that I forgot to shut.
Thomas Jefferson suddenly spoke, "Um, sense Jeffrey sleeps with you where am I going to sleep?"
I sat my head up to look at him, "Oh yeah I forgot about that..." I sat up and looked at a clock. "It's to late to go to the store. We have a few spare blankets but they aren't very good, or you might have to just sleep with me and Jeffrey tonight. Tomorrow I'll go buy another mattress." With that Thomas sighed and nodded knowing there's not much of any other option.
I kinda fell asleep on the couch but before I was completely unconscious I heard Thomas whisper something to Jeffery. "'She' said she's going to keep sending more of us if you don't hurry up." I could hear Jefferson's shoes tap on the floor as he walked off, and I fell asleep.

I woke up to some one shaking my arm and a blanket on me. "Bruceee.. Bruceeeeee..." I opened my eye to hear the gentle voice of Jeffery. I sat up and yawned, "Hmm?" Jeffery smiled slightly but I could see doubt fill his gaze. "What's wrong Jeffrey?" I questioned knowing something was wrong.
"We need to talk about something.. about why I'm here..." Jeffery's voice was shaky. I was really confused, "Is everything okay?"
Jeffrey looked and sounded worried, "I'm not sure, but this is serious.. I can't just keep you in the dark so I have to tell you....I come from another dimension, in which I would assume isn't to surprising.. 30928 is our leader. The way we are to be identified is like a ID number here except it is our identity, if that makes any sense. We have a mission to seek out a new planetary area suitable for our needs because of another species trying to take over our world. I was sent here to see if we could have a possibility of living here. I've failed my two other missions, which are classified, making this my last chance. 30928, or 928 for short, has brought Thomas here to help and make sure my mission gets done. She has said if I do not complete this mission I could be held on trial and banished from our home and left for dead. She informed Thomas as well stating that she will be sending more of us here to find if we can all like here, if I continue to report back positive notes. As a final test to see if we can have a habitat here she will come over and see for herself. This could not guarantee that I and the others that come will stay." I could feel Jeffery's heart rip in two as he was telling me this. I was less confused now but still was a little surprised, I still had questions, "How many of you are there? Are you like a  secret agent for your dimension? Why would another species want to harm you? Do you have to leave even if 928 says it's not a good place?"
Jeffery tried answer some of my many questions, "I don't have a specific number of how many us us there are, I don't think I'm a secret agent, I think the other species want to expand and see us as easy to pick off, and I have to do whatever 928 tells us to do so I'll only know when the time comes."
My brain was fried, I couldn't comprehend anything else.
Jeffery sighed, "I'm sorry to be telling you like this. I know it's a lot."
"Can I ask one more question for tonight?" I asked and Jeffrey nodded, "Can we talk about this more tomorrow? Mostly so my brain can work, and also because I'm actually really interested in all of this! And I want to know as much as possible!"
Jeffrey smiled and nodded, "Of course! I'll try to answer any and every question you have tomorrow, but your right, we should get some sleep."
Me and Jeffery went to the room and saw Thomas asleep on the bed. "I can go sleep on the couch again if you want." I said as quiet as possible. Jeffrey agreed and let out a small laugh, "Yeah let's go sleep on the couch, he gays mad if he doesn't sleep well."
We got some extra blankets and fell asleep on the couch, and I probably kicked Jeffery twice.
