The store

I woke up the next morning with a yawn. My back was stiff from laying on the couch. I stretched and my backed popped, Jeffrey looked at me kinda surprised. "Don't worry I do that a lot." I told him.
I realized I had to go to the store today to get a mattress so we can kinda all sleep. I looked over at the clock and noticed it was about 9 o'clock.
Thomas was already up and sitting at the kitchen table drinking from a cup. "Did you sleep okay Thomas?" I asked trying to be polite. Thomas nodded, "I've had a excellent rest thank you." I couldn't help but to smile, "They're both so adorable!!" I squeaked in my head like a little, four year old, girl.
I got ready by eating something along with brushing my teeth and brushing my messy hair. As I put on my shoes I announced I was going to the store, Thomas offered to go with me. Jeffrey looked a little shook but didn't tell Thomas to decline his offer. I agreed to let him go but warned him it was kinda far from here, and we didn't have a car, even though Thomas had no idea what I car is.
I grabbed a few waters and stuck them in my bag I always carry with me. I made sure I had everything excluding my wallet and started out the door, Thomas followed.
"So what made you want to come with me?" I asked kinda curious. Thomas shrugged, "I guess so I could get to know you? I mean if you are going out of your way of providing a shelter for me I should try to provide respect and some other way to show my gratitude. Also because Jeffrey wanted me to get to know you. He said you are a nice lad and if you'd want anything in return it would be my happiness from you helping me." I was a little shocked and couldn't really think of what to say, "Wow I wasn't actually expecting that from you. But yeah I don't really want anything in return except knowing your safe and happy." I smiled kinda feeling like a parent suddenly. Thomas smiled as well, "You're to kind sir."
We continued to walk for a while. "For Thomas's first time walking kinda far he is doing a good job of keeping up, sense he is about as tall as me I'm not surprised that he hasn't slowed down, either." I started talking to myself, in my head.
Thomas looked at me suddenly and stopped, right as we where heading into the city. I stopped as well and looked at Thomas, "Is something wrong?"
Thomas shook his head no, "I just was pondering upon something. Did Jeffrey ever mention anything about us?" I was slightly confused on what he meant by 'us' I am assuming he meant his species. "are you talking about the dimension thing? And the other species trying to take over?" Thomas looked at me as if I missed something important, "Well there is that but I didn't mean our whole species, more alike our 'unit', or group?" I thought trying to remember if he's ever mentioned it. Thomas led us to a bench just outside of the city. "If you know or not I will tell you.
Our people have two different main races, the huacaya and the suri, and units/groups are kinda like our family herd except we are not rated by blood or anything. Our group/herd leader 928 is like if you had a senator for a state and our herd is the state, meaning we have our distinctive rules compared to everyone else. Where I'm getting at is eventually half of our unit will continue to come here until our unit leader is convinced to see if this is a good place. Now if she agrees that this is a good place she will have to report back to her leader until he or she comes and agrees then we all can come and stay. Understand?"
I didn't really have anything to say due to my brain not working again but I just nodded. Thomas nodded as well and stood, "Okay good! Now let's go find whatever it was we where coming to the 'store' for!" I grinned and started walking again until we reached the store. I'm surprised to find it that even though Thomas seemed to be really confident he stuck to me like glue, even holding my hand when there was a lot of people. I tried to find the mattresses as soon as possible so Thomas didn't have to be absolutely terrified of every person around him. I saw one last air mattress and ran to grab it. Me and Thomas sighed in relief, "Now let's get out of here!!" Thomas said sounding really anxious to leave. "Well I'm going to have to pay for it, then we can leave." Thomas groaned but followed close behind me anyway. Almost everyone was staring at us the whole time. We got in the shortest line we could find and Thomas was squeezed my arm. I payed and we got out of the store. Thomas sighed in relief, "We can both agree to never take me to the store again! Only take Jeffrey!!" I laugh and agreed, "Now let's find our way hom-" suddenly my phone rang. I took it out of my pocket and answered it, "Hello?" It was Jeffrey, "Hey um Bruce... were you expecting two visitors?" I was confused, "Um no.. I'll be home in a few minutes just stay safe for no-" Jeffrey interrupted me, "He said it's Adrian and I think the girl is his sister." I was still a little confused but less worried now, "Oh okay! You can let them in, they're a few friends of mine." Jeffrey let out a little okay and hung up.
"If you want I can teleport us home." Thomas suddenly spoke and it made me jump. "I- uh... okay"
Thomas opened a small portal that had small white sparks jumping out, Thomas jumped through and I did too, right after him.
We appeared at the front door and I opened it to see Adrian, his younger sister and Jeffrey sitting on the couch.
"Hi guys!"
Jeffrey looked at Thomas knowing he used his portals. Thomas shrugged and went into the kitchen and got himself a drink.
I put the mattress in my room and sat down on the couch to talk with Jeffrey and my other friends.
