Meeting

"I think I'm going to cry." I whispered to Alex even though Nicki could hear me.

"I'm already crying." She whispered back.

"My... my name is Alex. I'm her best friend." She greeted.

"And my name is... um... it's... I forgot." I said aloud.

"Her name is Belle and she's the one you're mentoring." Alex said while pinching my arm.

"I'm so sorry. My name is Belle like from Beauty and the Beast. I was named after my grandmother she was French. She died of cancer when I was 8. This name really fit her because she was beautiful. I'm sorry. I'm rambling. I'm so sorry. Can I hug you in a non creepy way, just casually?" I rushed out.

"I don't mind non creepy hugs." She opened her arms and I quickly hugged her then let go.

"Alex, it's as amazing as I imagined. Hug her." I said nudging her forward. Nicki opened her arms again and Alex hugged her.

"You're right. I feel like I hugged heaven." She said squeezing my arm.

She laughed at us, "Let's have a seat." I took the empty space next to her and Alex sat across the table.

"I would like to introduce you to Emily she's over the mentoring program, Cassie my publicist, Nene my assistant, and the head of my security Joseph."

"Hi." Alex and I said simultaneously.

"I read your letter or rap on why you should be chosen. You are the only person to write me a rap and not a standard letter. How long did it take you to write it?" Nicki Minaj asked ME!

"6 hours maybe." I answered.

"Impressive. Let's order we have a flight to catch. Order whatever you want don't worry about the price." She said opening her menu. We did as she said. After lunch we got ready to leave.

"Stay close." She said getting up. We walked out the restaurant and the crowd went crazy for her.

"Nicki I love you!" They yelled. She blew them kisses and waved. We got in the limo ahead of her and waited for her to join us.

"I can't believe this is happening." I whispered to her.

"I can because you deserve this." She replied. Nicki joined us in the back.

"Emily tells me we are dropping you off somewhere once we get to LA." Nicki said to Alex.

"Yes ma'am." She replied.

"Who are we taking you to if you don't mind me asking?" Nicki asked.

"My dad." Alex answered. She nodded. She asked me simple questions like what is my favorite color and my zodiac sign. We got out and was shocked to see the size of the jet.

"Is this yours?" I asked.

"Nope, Lil Wayne sent it." She replied. We loaded on and was met by her hairstylist.

"Hi, I'm Tae." She greeted.

"I'm your biggest fan." Alex blurted out.

"I'm Belle and this is Alex, your biggest fan. She is obsessed with you and your work. She wants to be celebrity hairstylist also." I told her.

"Hm. Maybe we can do some work together." He replied. Alex just nodded her head. We took our seats.

Nene started talking, "So Belle as you know I am Nicki's assistant and until we find you an assistant I am also yours." She said.

"I need an assistant." I replied in confusion.

Emily spoke, "Well yes. You will be a very busy woman this summer and somebody will need to keep up with everything. Right now we are focused on you and your mentor developing a relationship so you and Nicki will spend a few days on a yacht. Drake and his person will also share that yacht along with Lil Wayne. When you get back to Nicki's place we want to really break you out into the business. Is that okay?"

"Yes ma'am." Once we're in the air everybody started to move around. Tae came over to wrap Nicki's hair.

"If you guys don't mind I'm going to go to bed." Nicki said getting up.

"In an actual bed?" Alex asked.

"Yes. Do you want to see?" She asked back. We nodded and followed her. Sure enough there was a bedroom.

"Wow." I whispered.

"There's a guest bedroom. I advise you get some rest too. In this life when you get the chance to sleep, you sleep." She said opening a small door she pulled out a long sleeping gown.

"NENE!" She shouted. Nene came in the room.

"Show them around then take them to the guest room please." She said.

"Okay, come on." She ushered us out the room after a quick tour she took us to the room and we laid down.

"This bed is soooo comfortable." Alex moaned getting comfortable. We talked until she passed out but I didn't because I was too excited to sleep. After the long flight to LA we landed and took Alex to her dad's.

"We're here." The driver said.

"Do you want me to go up with you?" I asked.

"No, I got this. Call me when you settle in." She said putting her backpack on. She got out. We waited for her to get in but she stopped walking and just froze in their driveway. I got out to comfort her but her dad opened the door. He looked shocked so as I figured she lied and didn't ask him if she could stay with him for the summer then a woman and a young boy joined his side. Together they met her where she still stood Frozen in that spot. Her father hugged her tightly and she fell over. I started to join them to check on her but somebody grabbed her wrist.

"From what it looks like maybe her dad needs to be the one to comfort and hold her." Nicki said. I watched him sit on the ground and hold her to him while crying with him. The woman sat next to them holding the young boy and I knew it wasn't my place to interrupt, Nicki was right. I got back in and we left.

"You okay?" Nicki asked. I nodded. It felt like forever when we finally arrived. We got out and my heart jumped.
