Cedric🤪: Let me in the gate.

I opened the gates, unlocked the door, and went back to reading my book. Nicki, Drake, and Wayne are attending a party while Sandi and Carol babysits us. Cedric was just getting here and they were already sleep.

"Hey beautiful I got you a gift." He announced as he came in. I looked up and he held a dozen red roses in a vase. I hopped up and took them.

"Oh my God they're beautiful." I exclaimed. "It's crazy my name is Belle, I love all shades of yellow, I love books, I love roses but I've never ever held roses or touched them. I'm sorry I'm rambling. Thank you." I sat them on the table and hugged him. He held me to him longer than he should have. He pulled away and we sat down.

"What are you reading?" He asked.

"Dreams. It's a novel about a teacher who came from a rich family but decided to live a lowkey life then she meets her student's famous father and circumstances surrounding her family makes her rise back into the spotlight. Her student's father teaches her how to live and follow her dreams." I explained.

"Sounds cheesy." He replied.

"It has a good message. Don't let people's opinions stop you from chasing your dreams. Also their love is authentic and cute." I told him.

"Read it to me." He said. My eyes lit up and I started from the very beginning of the story. Eventually, he fell asleep I covered him up and went up to Nicki's room and laid in her bed.

"Alright babe I'm home." Nicki said shaking my shoulder. She was already makeup free and ready for bed.

I sat up, "How was the party?" I asked.

"It was very nice. I see you're reading that book again." She said handing it to me.

"Yeah it's so good. A woman realizes her worth and accepts it which allows her to not only follow her dream but get her man. He wanted her and she wanted him instead of fighting it and overthinking it like a lot of adults today do she just went for it and she's happy and she has never been happier. The second book is being released next month, August. I have to have it." I told her.

"Juice told me you finished 3 songs yesterday. He thinks they're hits. When can I hear it?" She asked.

"When they're perfect." I answered.

"Alright get to bed. We have to be up at 5:30, dressed by 6:30, and gone by 7." Nicki said getting in bed.

"I can't believe I'm performing at my very first concert with my favorite people." I looked over at Nicki and she was dozing off.

"Good night." I turned off the light and went to my room.

"Y'all are so dope." Cedric girlfriend, Amber, yelled as everyone was rolling over laughing at our "rap competition" in the travel bus. Alex rolled her eyes at Amber.

"Guys, I think I'm going to lay down." Nicki said getting up and almost falling over. Wayne caught her.

"Aye, aye, aye. Take it easy. Let's get you to the bed." Wayne and Drake walked her to the back. I watched concerned.

"What's going on with your girl?" Cedric asked. Amber, Alex, and Cedric tuned in for my response. I looked over at Nene. She shook her head no.

"Nothing." I answered.

"Are you really going to lie to me? I'm your best friend." Alex asked.

"That doesn't mean I'm required to say anything and I'm not going to." I replied. Truth is I didn't know what was wrong with Nicki neither does she.

"Princess come here." Lil Wayne asked. I got up and rushed to their side.

"What's wrong with her, B? Tell us the truth." Drake asked. I looked at Nicki. She looked pale and aggravated.

"She's been like this for a few weeks but it's been getting worse. She always tired, she gets dizzy, she's constantly out of breath when she walks around. Also I think she's been getting headaches." I answered.

"You can't perform. You are not performing. You're going to the doctor." Lil Wayne told her.

"I can perform. I already made a doctors appointment. It's tomorrow morning." Nicki said.

"Go back with the kids. Nene come here." Wayne called out for her. I left them to talk. They were having a quiet argument while Nene spoke on the phone.

"We're leaving as soon as the concert is over. Nicki will have a doctor's appointment to get to so take your time you'll be left." Drake told us. We nodded. Them and the whole young money crew spent a few hours hyping the crowd up with their hits before they brought us out. We are closing out the show when I noticed Nicki staggers a little bit. She moved closer to Drake for support, everybody caught on and quickly ended our last song. She was no longer talking just smiling while Drake held her to him tightly. I looked to my side and seen the paramedics backstage talking with Nene and Nicki's mom.

Lil Wayne began a short speech with the whole crew onstage, "Alright y'all thanks for coming out. From the motherfvcking young money crew. We-"

"Drake help." Nicki breathed out into the microphone then she slumped.

"Shit Nicki." Wayne said running to Drake who held her body. I watched horrified.

"Baby, baby talk to me." Drake told her. Microphone connected to his shirt allowed the fans to hear his private moment. "I need you. Say something baby. Anything." The paramedics pushed past the group of us. Drake sat on the ground with her head in his lap. He kept kissing her face.

"Come on man." Wayne pulled Drake away from her while they put her on a stretcher.

"She has a faint pulse." I heard a paramedic say.

"No, no. We should've took her to the hospital this morning. Why did we wait?" He yelled at Wayne.

"Not now man. Take the ambulance with Mama Carol. I'll get the kids there. Go, keep it together." He chased after the paramedics who already took off with her. I stood there stunned. Wayne looked around and his eyes landed on me. He came to me and wrapped his arms around me.

"She'll be fine princess." He said. I sobbed into his arms. "Let's go to the hospital. Come on." Nene took my hand and led me away. Everybody loaded up and we went to the hospital. We filled the waiting room. I sat in a corner next to Alex crying.

"Hey." Cedric said with his girlfriend in tow.

"I bought a book from the gift shop it's by that author you like so much. Can I read to you?" He asked sitting next to me.

"You want to read a book during a time like this." I scoffed.

"It's a good distraction. It's called Fighting for Love. It's about two people who are apart of an elite government agency falling in love." He scooted closer and I laid my head on his shoulder despite the looks from his girlfriend. 30 minutes into the novel a doctor came in. Cedric and I rushed to him along with Wayne, Sandi, Carol, and Drake. Everybody quieted down to listen.

"After talking to Onika and her doctor, we believe she has a form of anemia and because she let the symptoms go on for so long without being checked she fainted. She's awake and receiving a blood transfusion." The doctor told us.

"Alright when can we see her?" Wayne asked.

The doctor informed us, "She doesn't want any visitors other than her mom and assistant."

"What the fvck do you mean? Fvck that I'm her motherfvcking assistant. What room?" Drake asked.
