The Future and the Past:(ATLA and LOK fanfic)

KIDS!?

"So let me get this straight... you guys are from the future when I'm dead and you," Aang said cautiously pointing at Korra. "are the new avatar?"

Korra nodded quickly to answer his question. Aang continued looking at Tenzin, "And you are our," he gestured to Katara. "...son?"

"Yes Father." Tenzin replied.

Then Aang sat in silence... and so did everyone else.

Sokka was currently laying on the floor with momo on his head trying to get the mental image of his sister and Aang together out of his head.

Said sister was sitting staring at Tenzin as though he held the secret of life. But I suppose that's what mothers look at their son who they never new they had who also came from the future like.

"... so how did you guys get here from the future?" Aang asked clearly trying to help with the awkward silence.

Korra sheepishly spoke up, " uhhhhh yeah that would be my bad." She rubbed the back of her head nervously. "You see I was angry at Tenzin for waking me up at the crack of dawn just so to meditate. And i went into the Avatar State."

Korra expected that Avatar Aang (one of the best Avatars ever if not the best) would have yelled at her for getting angry and scold her for not mastering the Avatar State yet. So imagine her surprise when the young airbending master just nodded his head and mumbled, "been there before."

"What do you mean you've been there before?" Korra asked him.

Aang sat down on the slab of rock behind him putting his head in his hand. "Believe it or not Korra, but I've had my fare share of Avatar State incidents." He sighed thinking of his latest defeat at the fire nation capital.
"And lots of other incidents to."

Katara sighed and was getting ready to walk over to Aang to comfort him when both he and Toph suddenly jumped up.

"I feel something coming our way!" Toph yelled to everybody.

Aang slammed his fist into the ground with his eyes closed to feel the vibrations better.

"I can feel it to, and it's getting closer fast!" Aang yelled while creating a tunnel through one of eastern temples walls.

"Quick everybody through here!"

Tenzin lead his family and Korra, while Aang tries to lead Oppa into the cave as well.

The flying bison roars angrily at the cave. Aang struggled more before giving up and turning back to look at the now big group. Then he turns to look for what the object that's after them is. He barely looks over the corner of one of the airtemples flaps before he almost gets hit with one of the most powerful blasts of firebending he's ever felt before and instantly knew that Firelord Ozai had found them. Quickly closing the metal flaps he turns to look at the group.

"Its Firelord Ozai!"
Everybody including the group from the future looked horrified. Another BOOM could be heard hitting the metal flaps. The BOOM although not very loud, was strong enough to knock some of the flaps out off place. This caused parts the rock ceiling to break and fall.

To Aang it all happened in slow motion. He watched as the falling rock slowly falls toward the oblivious Katara. And in that instant he makes a quick decision. That Kataras life means more than his, and ran toward the girl he so desperately loved.

He tackled her to the ground out of the way of the falling rock, and to anyone else including Katara he looked fine, until he landed on a piece of jutting out rock into the center of his back instantly activating his Avatar State that he never could get to after Ba Sing Se.

Katara gasped and quickly got off of the young avatar after hearing his agonizing scream, his back arched as the Avatar State glow appeared in his eyes and tattoos. Then he calmly stood up eyes and tattoos still aglow as if he were in some sort of trance.

Katara slowly backed away from him while his eyes scanned the group looking at all of there faces with a calm look. Until his eyes finally rested on Kataras.

They started at each for what felt like eternity when a huge BOOM shocked more of the eastern temples walls.

Aangs head snapped to where it emitted. Taking control of all for elements and lifting him self into the air he blew down the metal flaps.

The final fight was getting ready to commence.

I apologize to everyone for how late this update is. And even though there are no excuses for it I will say I was stressing out about my 16th birthday and getting my driver's license. Which I still am stressing out about. And I also kinda started to get back into this amazing show called Maraculous Ladybug which I had been a fan of forever and they just came out with season 2 so I had been watching those, and reading some other fanfics. If you haven't heard of it look it up you'll be glad you did trust me. Anyway I'm gonna stop fangirling now so I hope you enjoyed it and watch for an update!!!
