The Future and the Past:(ATLA and LOK fanfic)

The Final Battle

Katara couldn't believe her eyes. There he was, Aang. Not Avatar Aang, just Aang, her Aang.
He stared at her with the glowing eyes of an Avatar, but she knew it was him. He had finally gotten control over it. He didn't just stare at her he stared into her soul. She could feel it... his love for her, and she knew then that she felt the exact same way. Suddenly it wasn't crazy that they had a kid together, in that moment it made sense. Everything made sense.
But then reality came.
The ground rumbled almost knocking Katara down as the Firelord continued to attack the old air temple. The others had managed to get oppa to go through the tunnel. She gave one last look at Aang who was preoccupied fighting Ozai. He had already taken out the fire nation ships, all that was left was Ozai himself. But, Katara knew that if anyone could save the world... it would be Aang.

"Katara come on!" Sokka yelled to her. She turned around and ran to her brother and the others. Katara couldn't think of how oppa was extremely restless, she couldn't worry about how her supposed future son and his family ended up here, she also couldn't worry about how to get them home. No, at that moment all Katara could worry about was Aang.

Was he ok? Did he defeat Ozai? Di..did he still like her? Okay so maybe that last one wasn't something she should be worrying about at that certain time, but she was a teenage girl give her a break. Katara knows that Aang liked her, he made that extremely clear when he kissed her before the sollar eclipse. What she didn't know then that she knows now is that she's likes him to... spirits she hopes she can tell him that.

She knows they make it to the end of the tunnel when she can she a bright light. They run out and look up when they hear the loud yelling of a grown man. Then they all watch in awe as the great Firelord Ozai gets thrown across the Western Airtemple's trench landing on a  statue of an old airbending master.

Aang flies over to him all of the elements still surrounding him. He looks down on Ozai and says with the thousands of past avatar voices, "Firelord Ozai! You and your forefathers have devastated the balance of this world, and now you shall pay the ultimate price!"

My eyes go wide as Aang prepares to deliver the final blow. But they widen even more when I realize that he doesn't. Instead he turns away as of to think for a moment. Now that he's not yelling we can't hear what he or Ozai are saying. I gasp when Oxai tries to attack Aang from behind, wishing I could help him. Aang however ,using the techniques that Toph had taught him, senses the attack and uses earth bending to lock Ozai's limbs to the ground.

Aang sets his right hand on Ozai's head focusing his thumb on his forehead, then he sets his left hand on the Firelord's chest his thumb over his heart. Then Aang's eyes and mouth open to show a blue glow almost exactly like his avatar state glow. The light quickly flows over Aang's entire body and I have squint to look. The light travels to Ozai's chest and head through his hands, Ozai is also covered in light except his is red.

Ozai's red light begins to crawl onto Aang, almost engulfing all of him. He's down to his eyes left but manages to stop the red light and take over all of Ozai's body in his blue light, and then almost as quickly as it started it was over. Aang sways almost fainting from effort, but manages to stay upright. Ozai falls limp to the ground. Then Aang turns and looks at the temple on fire. Theirs a quick avatar state light in his eyes and he creates a wind to blow out the fires. He looks down at us and smiles.
And Katara has never been more proud of him then in that moment.

Just another disclaimer, I don't own Avatar the Last Airbender or any of these characters. Also sorry for the late update. I'm not very good with fight scenes so I had to figure a way to get the fight scene but also still make it sound good. Anyway I hope you guys like it.
