Ruby sat on the second floor of Queen Manor looking out at the city that was in ruins. She hadn't noticed how bad it had gotten until they attacked her home. She was fifteen now. Her brother was asleep. He thought she was sleeping too but she wasn't. She got up and walked to her parents room. Nine years since she last saw her parents. If it wasn't for pictures she would have forgotten their faces.

She walked into the room and had a look through the cabinets. She found a key. It looked similar to the key to the nightclub their family owned. Maybe it was to the basement which had been locked for years. She got up and thought about waking her brother up but decided not too since he would stop her from looking.

She picked up her blue hoodie and put it on and ran downstairs and out the front door. She climbed over the gate and walked in the direction of the Nightclub. She took alleyways so no one would see her. She then entered the nightclub. It was deserted and filled with dust covered air. She ran to behind the bar and the door stood in front of her. She put the key in the lock and turned it. It clicked open.

Ruby walked down the stairs slowly the room was dull and dark. She fiddled for a light switch and turned it on. She saw various old computer screens, several metal tables, Training equipment and a glass case with a a green hood. She ran over.  "The Green Arrow..." She remarked and noticed a sliver case on the table next to the hood.

A note was pinned on it.

'Protect this, I will be back for it - OQ'

Ruby knew those initials. Was her father the green arrow? He did have the key in his bedroom. She opened the case and saw a black bow inside. She picked it up and looked at it. "Wow" She remarked. She looked around and saw an arrow laying on the ground. She went over and picked it up. She put it in the bow and aimed it at the training dummy on the other side of the room. She fired and failed miserably it went a few inches forward and then crashed to the floor.

She sighed. She picked up the arrow and put the bow away and hid it in a box to keep it safe. She kept the arrow though. She walked out into the club locking the door behind her and hiding the key in the cash register. She looked at the arrow while she walked to the exit but bumped into someone. When she looked up she saw a tall man.

His hair was filled with a thick layer of grease from some sort of hair gel, His hair was a dirty blonde colour, His eyes were a dark blue and his skin was covered in stumble. He smiled showing his crooked teeth. He grabbed her hand his skin was oily.

Ruby kicked at him "Let me go!" She yelled.

"Ruby Queen.... You will make a good profit" He said still with a stupid grin.

She pushed herself out his hands just to have someone to pick her up by the waist from behind. She kicked and screamed and felt a burning pain in her neck. Slowly she grew faint and her eyes heavy as she passed out.

Max walked out the room with Felicity in a state after him. Her hands shaking covered in Ruby's blood. Oliver hugged her he had returned after his venture the picture stuffed into his jeans pocket. He wasn't going to say anything.

"How is she?" Richard asked almost immediately as Max stepped out.

"I've done everything I can, All we can do now is wait and see if she wakes up" Max said dazed his eyes dark and distant.

"What do you mean if? You can save her! What kind of big brother are you if you can't!?" Richard yelled angrily pushing Max against the wall and storming off.

"Max, Are you alright?" Wally asked walking over to him.

"He didn't hurt me" He answered sliding to the floor and staring blankly forward.

John walked over to Felicity and Oliver. "Felicity, Are you okay?" John asked.

"There was so much blood, She died for a second and we had to do CPR, She came back but I don't know if she will make it" Felicity stuttered.

"She will, I have a feeling she will" Oliver commented.

"I hope so, She seems like such a nice person" Felicity said.

Oliver walked over to Max. "Can we wait inside?" Oliver asked him.

"You can if you want, It's bloody" He warned. Oliver nodded he walked inside Felicity followed him. He was almost horrified by the sight. Ruby lay on a metal table barely breathing a guaze on her neck where she had been shot. He walked over.

"Oliver, Are you okay?" Felicity asked putting her hand on his.

"I don't know why but her getting shot reminded me of Tommy" He said. Felicity looked at the floor and hugged him.

"Oliver, She will survive" Felicity said pulling away and looking at him.

"She isn't done fighting..." She added looking at her. "Her war isn't won yet... I wonder what else she has went through" She said.

Max awoke the next morning and walked to Ruby's room. "Hey Sleepyhead.." He began and opened the door and saw her not there. He rushed downstairs yelling her name and saw her no where. "Ruby!" He yelled. He ran outside and continued to yell. He climbed the fence and thought of places she could've gone. None came to mind he had never let her out the Manor after their parents were taken.

He ran forward yelling her name he just kept running as fast as he could. His legs finally aching he fell to his knees "Ruby... Where are you? I can't live without my sister..." He wept putting his head in his hands.

"Crybaby of the year..." A nearby man said. Max looked up at the fire escape next to him a man with black hair and a black eye mask. He wore a latex body suit that covered everywhere except his face. It was black except on his chest it had various blocks of blue.

"Who are you?" Max asked sniffling.

"My name is Richard but where I am from they call me Nightwing" He said with a cheeky grin.
