Chapter Nine: Phase Two

Felicity walked back downstairs leaving Wally alone. She saw Oliver in the living area alone. She walked over. "How you holding up?" She asked.

"I'll survive" He told her standing up and looking at her.

"When we get out of here and back to our time I was wondering, If, Maybe, wanted to go out for dinner with me? I mean only if you want to..." Felicity babbled.

"A date? Like a date, Date?" Oliver asked smiling.

"Maybe..." Felicity said.

"I would love too" He said. Felicity smiled.

Ruby fell asleep in Richards arms. He kissed her forehead and held her there. thinking quietly to himself. He lay Ruby down on the bed and got up. He picked up a syringe from across the room and walked over to the sleeping Ruby. He turned her hand over to expose her wrist.

Wally noticed from outside the room and entered "What are you doing?" He asked.

Richard turned standing up "Giving Ruby some medicine.. Max told me to give it too her" Richard said.

"Oh... Sorry.." Wally said. He felt overprotective over Ruby.

"It's fine, I would of done the same thing" Richard said with a slight smile looking down at Ruby.

"I heard about the engagement when I was walking past, Congratulations, I guess" Wally said smiling.

Richard smiled "I know she was so happy to be engaged to me" He said.

"She sounded it" Wally replied staring at Ruby.

Richard walked over to Wally. "It's tough you won't get to see the wedding..." He said.

Wally frowned turning his head to Richard as he felt a burning pain in his neck. He stumbled back falling into the bookcase books falling down and so did he. A syringe was in his neck. Richard walked over taking the needle out and putting the syringe in his pocket "It's painful.." He said with a smirk.

Wally reached out at Richard as he Walked over to Ruby's bed. Ruby was in a deep sleep. So deep that nothing could break it. Richard lifted her and walked out the room. Wally screamed as his whole body felt like it was in fire.

Max, Felicity, Oliver and John ran into to the room. "Wally! Whats wrong?" Max asked rushing over. He felt his head which was hot to the touch.

"He has a fever.." Max said.

"Max.. Ruby's gone!" Oliver said.

"What?" Max said looking at the empty bed.

"I left Ruby with Richard.." Felicity said.

"....Took.... Ruby..." Wally murmured on the verge of passing out.

"Someone must've taken them" Max said standing up.

Wally tried to speak but his lips weren't working he couldn't form words. He couldn't save her.

A year had past Ruby was working on a fail proof plan to escape the place. Today she was going to escape. Her, Luna, Wally and as many of the other girls as she could. Today was also her birthday.

Luna had acted strange the entire day. "Are you okay Luna?" Ruby asked.

Luna looked at her "Don't do it, Don't try and escape.." Luna said.

Ruby looked at her "If we don't try and escape, we will live our entire life here knowing we never dared to try and escape this plan they set up for us" She said.

Luna looked at her "Ruby Please.." She said.

"I'm sorry Luna but I can't not try" Ruby told her.

Luna sighed and got up from her seat and walked out the backstage area "I'm sorry.." She told her as she left.

Ruby just stood confused but got back to her plan.

Richard carried Ruby out the house and through the streets everyone was so bothered about their own issues to notice the sleeping girl in his arms. Soon he had arrived at his destination a large warehouse where he entered and pushed through the crowd. He then walked down the metal steps into the basement and laid her in a cell and locked her inside.

"I didn't think you'd go through with it Lucky" Milla said approaching him.

"Please, I was very much glad to finally get out that place, Pretending to be Richard Grayson was boring, Such drab, The character has no real fun..." He groaned looking at her with a smile.

"Lucky, You are my best solider.. Very Trustworthy.." Milla said smiling genuinely.

"Anything for my Milla..." He said smiling.

Ruby looked out the bolted window to see the night setting over the city. Time to escape. She picked up her bag and headed to meet everyone. She left her room to be stopped by Luna. "Luna? What are you doing? We need to me at the rendezvous point! We have a small opportunity to escape" Ruby worried.

"I have a shortcut" Luna said with a forced smile.

Ruby saw through the facade and stepped back uneasily. "I'd rather take the way we discussed" She said. Luna grabbed her wrist and began to pull her along.

"Don't you trust me Ruby?" She asked.

Ruby began to walk "Yes, I'll trust you" She said. They went through the crowd of paying men for the strutting women who had decided to be a distraction and into the backrooms. Men took women here a lot. Only ones Luna's age though. Luna stopped at a door "Through here" She said.

Ruby frowned opening the door and with a large force Luna threw her inside and locked the door. Ruby panicked and knocked on the door "Luna! What are you doing!?" She screamed. Luna began to cry. "I'm sorry Ruby... You should'nt of tried to escape"

Ruby felt someone grab her wrist she turned to see the man from her first night a slimy grin on his face as he pulled her close to him making her drop her bag. She shook in fear his grip tight on her arm and his hand stroking her face. She struggled in his grip. He then threw her. She landed on something soft. She looked up and saw it was a bed.

She began to realize what was going to happen. She shook her head "No! No No Get away from me!" She screamed as he climbed onto the bed tugging at her clothes pulling them off. Ruby went into her own world. Trying to get away from what he was doing. She thought of her brother, She thought of her parents and of Wally her friend.

Anything. To get away from the reality of what was going on.

Sorry for the slow update but This is the darkest chapter I've ever wrote in a book so I'd love feedback. Did I do okay? Are angry for me being horrible to ruby? Well I always be horrible to my main characters. I'm horrible. XD
