Toriel's PoV
I was outside, on the phone with an old friend giving them the info on (Y/N) that I had just collected. "Her name is (Y/N), she is (Y/A), and her favorite color is (F/C). Her soul, however, as I already explained, is not... normal." "So I hear Toriel. Anyway, around how long 'till you let them through the door?" "Soon, very soon. In about one to two days." "Okay, what's the kid look like?" "Well, she has (H/C) hair, (S/C) skin, and (E/C) eyes. She is also wearing a (F/C) sweater with the left sleeve ripped off, her shorts are black and her tennis shoes are also black." "Heh." "What is it?" "She just reminds me of someone..." "Oh okay. I need to go now, but I will call you after she is asleep." "Okay, Toriel."
Reader's PoV
It has been about half an hour and goat mom is still outside. You wonder when she'll come back. Out of boredom, you pick a book off of the shelf, it's titled: "Different Types Of Monsters. By: #.#. ######" The name looks like it was ripped off. You begin to read about the different kinds of monsters. One passage, in particular, caught your eye it read, "Skeletons: The rarest monster, for all of them, were wiped out in the war. Except for one, #.#. ######. He then became the Royal Scientist and eventually disappeared. We do not know what happened to #.#. ######. But we do know that when he disappeared, two skeletons appeared in Snowdin Town." Interesting. The name was always scratched out or ripped off the page. Getting bored with the book, you placed it back on the shelf. You grabbed a new book from the shelf titled: "The Areas of The Underground" No author. You read about all the places, but your favorite by far was Snowdin, a cold climate with snow and a friendly little town, and it was just beyond the Ruins! You planned to ask goat mom if you could go tomorrow.
Toriel came back inside as you were putting the book back on the shelf. "Hello, my child." "Hi, mom." Toriel smiles about you calling her 'mom' and then continues, "You should get some rest (Y/N). You've had a big day and your rib needs to heal." You knew this was no request. When Toriel used your name, she meant business. You went into your bedroom swiftly. Knowing you gained a lot of useful knowledge today, it fills you with determination.
----------
As your eyes slowly fluttered open, you looked to the clock. 5:00 AM. You yawned, then sat upright. Stretching, you exited your bedroom and went into the living room. "Ah, good mourning my child! How did you sleep?" "I slept very well, thank you." You ate breakfast with Toriel, deciding to postpone asking her about leaving until later. You decide to read some more of the books off of the shelves.
~Timeskip brought to you by Temmie Flakes!~
As you completed the last page of your book you decided that it was time. Gently placing the book back on the shelf you walked over to Toriel. "Hey, um, Toriel?" "Yes my child?" "Can I, um, leave the Ruins?" "My child! Why would you want to do that?" "Well I read some of your books and I just wanted to see the rest of the Underground..." "But that's dangerous, there are monsters out there that will kill you!" "I- ... I know that. But I need you to trust me. Let me see the Underground, please." "Excuse me, my child, for I must go do something..." Toriel rushed out of the room and into the basement, you trailing behind.
"You wish to know how to leave the Ruins, do you not?" You nodded. "Ahead of us lies the end of the Ruins, a one-way exit to the rest of the Underground. I am going to destroy it." You continue to follow Toriel through the basement. "You naive child, do you not understand?" You cock your head to the side but continue to follow suit. "Every child that falls down here meets the same fate. They come. They leave. They die. I have seen it over and over again. Child if you leave the Ruins, they. ASGORE will kill you." You reach a purple door. "You wish to leave so badly? Then prove to me. Prove to me you are strong enough to survive!" Your surroundings flashed from black to color until it stopped on black and your soul appeared in front of you.
Your eyes flashed from (F/C) to (E/C) throughout the battle, each time being on (F/C) you get the strong urge to kill. You eventually spared Toriel, leading you to hear these words. "It's pathetic, is it not? I cannot save even a single child. Heh... heh..." You give Toriel a hug. "Child, please stay safe out there. I do not want to lose another child." "Don't worry Toriel. I am going to free the Underground and all the monsters will finally be happy." You whispered into Toriel's ear. "You have no idea how long I've waited to hear those words. Stay safe child." Toriel said as she exited the room. You opened the door and continued through.
As you walked you encountered a certain yellow flower. "I bet you feel sooooo great. You spared the life of a single person. In this world, it's kill or be killed. So she was able to play by her own rules. But what will you do when you meet a relentless killer? Will you kill out of frustration? Or will you simply give up? And finally give control of the timeline to ME. I am the prince of this world's future. Don't worry my little monarch, my plan isn't regicide. Until next time!" The flower sank into the ground and you continued forth.
It was cold. Snow crunching beneath your feet. You'd read about this place, it must be Snowdin. As you walked along the path, you tripped on a large branch, after cursing yourself for tripping on it, you continued forward. After you took a few steps, you heard a crack, turning around, you saw the branch has been snapped as if it was nothing. Feeling chills run down your spine, you stiffened and walked swifter. You heard footsteps behind you. You froze. (No pun intended, okay maybe it was.)
"Heya, don't you know how to greet a new pal? Turn around, and shake my hand."
