Harry never left Ginny again after the war. They dated for about a year before Ginny moved into Harry’s flat. She was gone often, traveling with the Holyhead Harpies, as was he, capturing the remaining Death Eaters and other dark wizards that attempted to gain power in the wake of Voldemort’s fall. Yet when they were together, they were inseparable. They were married by October of 2000 but they waited four years to have kids. Ginny was at the height of her Quidditch career and Harry could not afford to stay home with dark wizards on the loose. After three years, however, Ginny had had enough. She wanted kids and no one was going to stop her.

So she took a job for the Daily Prophet reporting Quidditch and stopped using birth control. Harry continued his work as an Auror but he was able to come home every other night at the most. Soon afterwards, James was born. Two years later, Albus came along and after another year, Harry became the head of the Auror department. Harry wouldn’t have minded only two kids, but ,like her mother, Ginny was determined to have a girl, if only to name her after Harry’s mother. Finally, after another even two years, Lily was born.
