Draco was acquitted after the war but was very troubled for a very long time. What he had done, in service of the Dark Lord, gave him nightmare after nightmare. He fought over it with his parents and had no idea what he wanted to do with his life. His father wanted him to work in the ministry, but Draco couldn’t do it. It wasn’t until he found himself walking into St. Mungo’s that he realized he wanted to be a healer, to right his wrongs. This he did with much success and soon he was known as the best Wizarding surgeon in Great Britain.

He met Astoria at the yearly ball to celebrate the end of the war. He had known her as a child of course, but this woman that he met was more beautiful and more mature than the happy-go-lucky girl he once knew. She, too, had been though much during the war and they were able to relate on many accounts. They started to see each other more often and after years of stalling, Astoria finally asked Draco when he was finally going to ask her to marry him and so he did. They were married in 2004 and their only son, Scorpius, was born on July 19th 2006.
