Made To Be Perfect

Chapter Seven

"Let's all welcome the temporary headmistress of Pendleton International University, Miss Iris!"

The students clapped their hands excitedly as I made my way to the podium. They were buzzing with excitement and curiosity as they strained their necks to see my face.

The auditorium went silent as I readied myself to speak in the mic.

This won't be easy.

"Good morning, ladies and gentlemen. I'm Iris but I demand you call me Miss Iris, whether you're a student, faculty or staff. This is my secretary and the other is my personal assistant. I suggest you also treat them with utmost respect." I gestured towards Clark and Ash who's now wearing formal attire and wearing serious expressions.

"To fill the seat of the current headmaster, I will be overseeing the activities that will be conducted on the Foundation Week along with my secretary and assistant. I expect everyone to observe proper decorum at all times and all must strictly adhere to the rules bound by this institute." I said in a sophisticated manner. No one was making a sound and I think I intimidated them too much with my demeanor, well except kay Tucker na nakasmirk.

Well, whatever.

"I expect that all of you will exert your utmost effort in participating and making the Foundation Week successful. Thank you and best regards to everyone." I ended my speech and made my way to where Clark and Ash were seating.

Wala pa din akong naririnig na ingay mula sa kanila hanggang sa pumalakpak ang host at sumunod din sa pagpalakpak ang lahat. It seems that they recovered from whatever happened to them.

"Wasn't so hard, right?" Ash whispered.

"Yah, yah." I whispered too.

"Let's all give a round of applause to Miss Iris!"

"Tara, balik na tayo." Clark said and we all stood up and went to the backstage while everyone were clapping their hands.

We went to our new office na binigay sa amin ni Tito Scott na katabi lang ng office niya.

"So, let's plan for what's really going to happen in the Foundation Week." sabi ko sabay tanggal ng heels ko. Pinatong ko ang paa ko sa taas ng lamesa kasi masakit na agad, hindi naman kasi ako sanay na magsuot ng heels.

"Hoy gaga, pepe mo kita na." Sabi ng walang hiyang si Ash sabay tawa ng malakas. Binatukan naman siya ni Clark sa ulo nang malakas.

"Tangna, ano na naman?" Inis na sabi ni Ash sabay hipo sa ulo niya.

"Your mouth," Clark said and resumed writing.

"Stop bickering. I need suggestions for the activities." I demanded, not bothering to put down my feet.

"Well, the basic thi-"

"Hep, hep, hep. No basic activities. Samantalahin na natin toh, ok? Gawin naman nating kakaiba at masaya ang Foundation week tutal wala naman si Tito." Putol ni Ash sa kay Clark sabay tawa.

"But we can't-"

"It's okay, Clark. May point din naman si Ash eh." I agreed on his idea.

"Sige, ano namang activities?" Clark asked.

"Ako na'ng bahala!" sabi ni Ash na mukhang may binabalak.

And so Clark started to write the plan according to Ash's supervision.
