There are 3 ways to reinforce a humans behaviour.
- punishment
-positive reinforcement
-negative reinforcement
If your pet exhibits aggressive and violent behaviour or tries to run off, a punishment is in order.
Now I personally never had to punish my two, for as naughty as Twister was he didn't do anything that would require a punishment, but my friend who I brought up previously had to punish her humans.
A punishment that works best is the outdoors punishment, were you leave them tied up outside, restricting access to food, but not water (for previously stated reasons).
If this option is not completable, the next best punishment is locking them up in a 'naughty cage' which is best placed somewhere lonely and quiet.
Negative and positive reinforcement is important for training, I would always use positive reinforcement with morph.
Giving him a treat after every time he behaved, but twister had to have negative reinforcement.
I would place on a training harness, I set it to whichever command mode I desire and it puts the human through discomfort till they obey and have the discomfort removed, its best to add some positive reinforcement afterwards.
Any punishment for a small annoyance or that you're in a bad mood and the pet is being a little to loud is inexcusable, you are in the wrong not your pet.
Negative reinforcement should only be applied if the pet has shown to know the command but has no intention of obeying
