❝There are decades when nothing happens. There are weeks where decades happen.❞
[ 3rd Person POV]
"Laila! Laila!" Allan gently shakes Laila, trying to make the red haired soldier go back to reality. But, the girl still isn't saying anything and just kept on staring at the incomplete formed Titan in front of them. Allan shakes her one more time, "Laila!" He shouted. Laila flinched and slowly turned her head to Allan.
"Allan?" She mumbled making the boy let out a sigh of relief.
"Are you okay?" He asked, Laila nod in response. Allan shifts his gaze to the Titan in front of them, "What is going on here? And how did that Titan get here? And what's that explosion a while ago?" Allan showered Laila with questions but, Laila simply shook her head.
"I don't know... but,"
"But, what?"
"That cadet... he was the one who made that Titan." She said, making the boy fake a laugh nervously, "Yeah, right. As if I'd fall to a lame joke like that..." He said but the girl looked too serious to be joking around. He gulp, "How can that be possible?" He said as he tried his best to believe his friends words. "I also don't know." Laila answered.
The half Titan's head suddenly moved, making everyone frightened.
"W-We're on standby! It's too dangerous to approach! All units are to stand by on full alert!" Kitz instructed. "Have the cannoneers ready another round!" He added.
"I told you! We should listen to them first!" Laila insisted. Rico glared at her, "Then what? No matter what they say, we can't let a creature like that inside the walls!" Rico shouted.
"But," Laila just clicked her tongue, as she knew her words won't change their minds. "Whoa!!" They heard some soldiers gasp, making them look back to where the Titan was, "Halt!" Kitz said making the other soldiers point to that something coming towards us.
It was Armin, he stopped and stand while raising his hands as soon as he's out of the thick smoke. "So you've finally revealed your true colors, monster! I'll signal the cannon!" Kitz said trying to scare the blonde boy. "He is not the enemy of mankind! We're willing to share any and all information that we have!" Armin said, his whole body was shaking in fear.
"I have no intention of hearing your plea! We've seen everything we need to know. There's no room for discussion! If you claim he's not our enemy, then prove it! If you can't, we'll simply eliminate the threat!" Kitz said.
"There's no need for proof!" Armin paused for a second and continued, "Besides, how we see him is not an issue!" He said.
"What?!"
"I've heard that many have seen him in action! If that's true, they must've also seen him fighting the Titans! And that includes the sight of the surrounding Titans swarming him! In other words, the Titans saw him as a target of predation, just like the rest of mankind! No matter how we go about it, that fact cannot be denied!" He said.
"That's right. Even Rico saw it. Didn't you Rico?" Laila said as she puts her hand on Rico's shoulder making her look back to her through her shoulder, "You said that that Titan, or Yeager was killing other Titans didn't you?!" She added. Rico couldn't answer and just lowered her head.
"He has a point."
"A Titan as an ally. That's ridiculous." Some of the soldiers said as they lowered their guns. "It's working. He's amazing." Laila thought as looks at Armin.
