"What?" I asked. Did she know? "Well I just know when we weren't talking that you and zach were talking and when something happened he came to me for advice, yea I knew" she laughed. She knew and she wasn't mad? She knew I lied the whole time.
"Your not mad?" I said. I looked up In her eyes. They didn't seem like it at all. "Well at first I was upset you didn't come to me earlier or anything but when I realized how you guys were actually cute I supported it and I started to trust him".
I didn't trust him anymore. She shouldn't either and I didn't blame her. Kylie had a soft side. It only came out when you really wanted it to. This was one of these moments. It felt right. It felt right to have her back. Everything was like old times.
In a way I was super happy. I had my best friend back. But I didn't have my other friend anymore. Maybe even more. Kylie and I opened sat down for class and it began. I saw Zach sitting in front of me. God did I want everything to be clear. But it wasn't.
"You ok?" She asked. "You were right" i mumbled. Kylie turned towards me and looked right at me. "What do you mean" she repeated. I didn't want to admit it. But she was right. I should have never trusted the bad boy. "I shouldn't have trusted him". She scooted towards me and had a soft look in her eyes. She cared.
"No I'm wrong, zach is good to you, I just think his friends but him in the wrong position and he needs to see it. His friends are also in the wrong position and they need to see it to" she said. I was expecting a I told you so or a see I'm right. Maybe she had a point. He was so good to me. It's just the friends. He could learn. "I guess you are right, but what do I do?" I said. There wasn't really anything I could do.
"Talk to him, just you and him before it's to late, he's getting famous, I even heard something about him and his friends with a band or something? But you need to let him know he's wrong" she said. I nodded. The whole class I thought about it. I was going to, how would I say it though. Oh yeah well your friends are total ass wholes.
After school Kylie and I went home to surf. We were out for about a hour. While we were out I couldn't help but look towards zach. God did I miss him.
After surfing and me being terrible for a few we sat on the sand and just looked out. Kylie only had a few more minutes and after I had to try again.
"Remember if you see zach let him know your not wrong and that it's him and his loser friends, again let him reach to you first but if it's a while then go to him ok?" She said. I nodded and stood up. I walked her up the stairs and to her car and waved goodbye to her. I walked. Back down and sat next to my board. I just stared out. It was so calming and relaxing.
"Ash?" I heard from behind me. I turned around and noticed zach standing in plain sight. "Can we talk?" He asked one more time. Rule one. Let him reach out to you first unless he takes forever. Well that didn't take long.
