Monday

I never got a chance to talk to the boy but we're back at school now. It was almost summer time. We had about 2 and a half more months of school left. Enough to get through soft-more year.

I got up and threw on leggings and a oversized grey crew neck. I always wore a shark tooth necklace. All the time. I never knew why but I did. I put on a tiny bit of mascara not even enough to notice and fixed my hair. I sprayed perfume and went downstairs. I grabbed some fruit and ate it downstairs. I slipped on some vans while eating and starting texting my friend Kylie.

I told her about the new boy next door. I told her about how we might see him. And I wondered what he would be like.

I wasn't very popular at school. I was in a good friend group but I wasn't anything super popular. I was super smart and most people didn't know that about me.

I met my mom outside in the car. I almost had my license. Just a few more months. I looked at the back yard where I could see the beach from a distance. I smiled and imagined my self out there this weekend with Kylie. I also had a friends Kelsey and maddie. They were both great friends but I knew Kylie longer. We just had a better connection.

I got in the car and went on my phone. I heard a sound of a door shutting and looked over. It wasn't my mom. I looked by the new peoples house. The boy was walking about. He wore black skinny jeans, vans and a light blue hoodie. I walked out to his car with his keys. He must have already had his license I guess. I had to admit he was very cute. I had barley seen him and he already seemed cute. And nobody was ever cute to me.

My mom came in the car and she started to drive. She had to go to work also to. My parents were divorced and we didn't talk to my dad. So it was just my mom. She always worked late at night. So she was all dressed up for a long day.

The whole time we were behind the new neighbor. I wanted to meet him so I had my mom stay at his pace. "That's good you want to meet him honey" she said. "Yea and he's super cute" I laughed. "Really! I have never heard you call someone cute someone crushing?" She looked over at me with a dumb smile. "Mom I never met him how could I have a crush on him, he's just cute" I said. We pulled up the the carpool line. He parked over in the parking spot and I had my mom drive up to the door so I could meet with him. I waved bye to my mom and ran out of the car. I ran up to him and tapped him on the shoulder. He quickly turned around and looked at me.

"Hey" I said. He was very cute, very. "Hi?" He answered. Um.

"Well I saw that you moved in next door, maybe we could be friends or something I could show you around?" I asked. "How about... no" he said. He rolled his eyes and sped  up his pace.

I was right. Maybe he was a douche.

I met up with Kylie at my locker and told her about how that new kid is a bust. "I don't know how I'm going to live next to him" I complained. "Calm down just ignore him" she said. "He's a total jerk!" I screamed.

"Who is!" Maddie asked. Her and Kelsey came rushing over to my locker. "Well my new neighbor, the one who I said is kinda cute..." they stopped me. "Wait you think someone's cute! You never think that!" Kelsey screamed. I saw the boy walk by when she said that. He stared at me with some one the boys walking with him. The popular boys. He was friends them already. Not good. "Well not anymore, he's a total jerk I asked him if he wanted to hang or maybe he friends and he totally shut me out" I complained. "Sorry dude you Will find someone one day" Kylie said patting my shoulder. I nodded and put my books in my bag.
