Chapter 6

Mariana Pov

"Hey moms do you need help with the dishes?" I know what you're thinking. What kid willingly asks to help their parents with chores. I only asked because I wanted avoid any awkward silences with Lacey in my room.

"Sure sweets." Mom said.

We were doing the dishes in a comfortable silence when Mom decided to question me.

Stef Pov

  I was really curious about what happened in the living room with the kids so I decided to ask Mariana.

"So Mariana, what happened in the living room with you kids?" I asked.

  Lena gave a look that said "really Stef". I just send her one back innocently asking her "what?"

  "I don't know what your talking about." Mariana answered asked playing dumb.

  "Oh really? Because it seemed to me that something happened with all that tension that was in the room when we came to talk to you guys." I said trying to get some information out of her.

  "Nothing happened Mom." Mariana lied not even looking me in the eyes.

  Just when I was going to call her out on it, Lena spoke up to stop me.

  "Okay honey. Why don't you get ready for bed?"

  "Okay Momma." She responded.

   Mariana Pov

  I could've sworn I felt Mom burning wholes in my back with her glare as I walked out of the kitchen. Mom is always so stubborn. It was never that serious, she should of just let go. I'm glad Momma stepped in though, because I could tell Mom knew I was lying.

  Lena Pov

"Why did you do that?" Stef asked me annoyed.

  "You can't go around interrogating our kids Stef. If it was serious one of the kids would have told us so just let it go." I told her.

"Fine." She pouted.

  I couldn't help the smirk that creeped its way to my face. She looked so adorable when she pouted.

Stef Pov

   I looked up and noticed Lena smirking.

  "What are you smirking at?" I asked her.

   "Nothing." She said not very convincingly.

    "Yea right." I told her as she started walking towards me.

    When Lena finally reached me, she pulled me into a very passionate kiss. It got heated pretty quickly.

    "We should continue this upstairs after we say goodnight to the kids." Lena said against my lips.

     I just nodded in a daze. Lena still had this effect on me after all these years. All I could think about while walking upstairs was that I was lucky that even with this many kids our sex life was not ruined.

*Meanwhile upstairs*

Lacey Pov

  While Mariana was downstairs, I got ready for bed. I went to the bathroom to brush my teeth when I walked into something that will scar me for the rest of my life.

  "Holy shit!" I semi screamed when I saw Jesus peeing in the bathroom. I quickly turned around to protect what was left of my innocence.

  "Dude! Why didn't you knock?" He said in shock and embarrassment.

  "Well why didn't you lock the damn door?!?" I asked while I walked out of the bathroom.

  I ended up having to wait five more minutes until I could brush my teeth. When I was done I laid down and listened to music on my iPod. I must have fell asleep because the last thing I remembered was Stef pulling the covers over me and then both her and Lena kissing my head tonight.

  I then fell into a deep peaceful sleep. If only I knew I wouldn't stay in a peaceful sleep for long.
