Stef and Lena hung up the phone while their minds were trying to comprehend everything said from their conversation with Bill.
"So...are we sure about this. I mean how do you think the twins and Jude will react to this?" Asked Lena.
"We can't just let this girl be placed in a group home. We have to give her a chance the same way we have the twins, Callie, and Jude a chance. Don't worry love, it will all work out. We will talk to them when they come back from school besides they know what it is like to be a foster kid I'm pretty sure they will be welcoming. I'm not sure Mariana will be happy about sharing a room though." Stef told Lena.
* A few hours later*
The twins and Jude had just walked home. They had to walk since Lena had not went to work today.
"Guys, family meeting in the living room!" Stef shouted.
Lena gave her the "look". "You really had to yell Stef." Lena said in a disapproving tone.
"Sorry love but it worked." Stef replied sheepishly when she heard the sound if footsteps coming in their direction. Lena just rolled her eyes at the blonde.
Once the three teens were seated the moms got down to business not wanting to beat around the bush. "Okay guys we got a call from Bill today and he asked us to take in a foster kid today. It's a girl. We told him yes but we just wanted you guys to be aware of this and see if you had any concerns." Lena informed the kids.
The two ladies were met with a chorus of "its fine" from the three and three smiles. Just when they thought it wasn't going to happen Mariana asked the inevitable question.
"So I have to share my room again. What about when Callie comes home during break?" She asked.
Stef sighed and responded, "Miss Thing we will worry about that when the time comes but yes you have to share your room "again". Trust me it won't be so bad, remember you were like this with Callie but you started to warm up to the idea not long after."
Mariana just mumbled an "I guess" not entirely convinced.
"What's her name?" Jude asked genuinely curious.
All three kids looked at their mothers with curiosity since this question had been running through their minds.
"Lacey...Lacey Johnson." Lena told them. Not a second after the door bell rang. The family all walked to the door to meet the new addition to their family that would only be temporary or so they thought.
