After getting dressed I called the rest of the kids to down for breakfast before school. Jude stepped out of his room already prepared for the day so we walked downstairs together.
"Morning Mama!" He greeted with a grin.
"Good morning bud!" I replied smiling brightly.
When we stepped into the kitchen Stef was pouring herself a mug of coffee and Lacey was setting up a plate for herself. As Jude walked by Stef, she placed a kiss on the side of his forehead and told him good morning.
The kids began to make there way downstairs by the time I finished making a plate for myself to eat.
"Good morning guys!! What are your plans for after school today??" I asked them before taking a sip of some heavenly coffee.
Their replies ranged from wrestling and hanging out with Connor to practicing for an upcoming dance competition. Unsurprisingly, the only person who didn't give a response was Lacey. She seemed to be drowning in her own thoughts while pushing around her plate of half eaten French
Toast.
"Alright guys, it's time to head out." I called out over the casual morning conversations taking place. I then grabbed my keys and made my way outside to start the car. As they all started piling in I got the feeling it would be an interesting day today.
