"I thought I'd find you here."
Taehyung turned around to the familiar voice.
"Yuri!" He hadn't seen her since graduation.
She sat down on the dry grass beside the chestnut haired boy. Looking around, hundreds of grey slabs and stone angels were resting on top of souls that were six feet under soil. Some graves had flowers colourfully spread out whilst others had dead petals only the spring wind was helping blow away.
Taehyung was sitting next to a grave with fresh lilies. His eyes were swollen and he was wearing all black.
Both sat in silence, the odd bird chirping in the distance.
"Mina's been looking for you everywhere - she's worried sick," Yuri broke their silence.
It was early morning and Taehyung hadn't gone home all night. Yuri had returned to Seoul from holiday with her father only to find Jimin desperately trying to comfort a bawling Mina. The girl hugged Yuri tightly before rushing upstairs only to realise Taehyung wasn't home.
He chuckled, "I take it you've already met Mina then."
"Of course, I went to her house first. Hoseok oppa told me everything that happened."
There was a small silence as Taehyung turned to stare at Suga's grave. His body wasn't buried for he had his own cremation in his mansion. Here, his ashes merely lay.
"I want to stop loving her, I really do. But it's so hard," he mildly confessed.
Yuri swallowed, "Time is the best healer Tae. I promise," but she didn't believe her own words.
To be honest, time doesn't heal. Time just passes by and humans choose to believe they can be healed the longer they are kept away from something. The human mind chooses to move on because it has no other choice.
The boy sighed deeply, "I regret the day that Seoul Art Institution gave me a scholarship."
Yuri's features contorted, "Don't you dare say that! How can you be so selfish!"
He snorted, "Like you care. Your life would still have been the same, daughter of a CEO probably would've gotten married to a rich guy and lived happily ever fucking after. But me! Oh, I must've betrayed the king in my past life to have such a shit destiny. I love the girl who'll never be mine. And what's worse is that she tries, she tries to love me and I feel so fucking guilty because I know she's just a nice person who can't take to see me upset."
Yuri shook her head, "You're wrong, you-"
"...If I never came here, I would've still been farming with my grandma and could've enjoyed last moments with her before she too went upstairs with my parents. Maybe, just maybe; Suga hyung would still be alive. And maybe I would never have had to give my happiness away for a girl who doesn't even love me! Now what? Say something Yuri! Huh?!"
Taehyung was now standing, chest heaving with anger and tears brimming in his wide, beautiful eyes that were narrowed with venom.
Yuri slowly stood up and sniffed. She couldn't repress tears for Taehyung had experienced extensive pain and was now a broken mess. Their eyes met and Taehyung turned away sharply, compressing his thick lips in a line so he wouldn't cry in front of her.
