Now im in the woods,searching for the guava fruit.we exactly dont know what the fruit is but me and abey named as guava becoz of the similarities.this is the first time i came alone for plug some of the fruits.since i wakeup i found abey is sleeping. usualy he wakeup earlier than me.may be he'd bit tired of yesterday's work.he need to be sleep well so i let him sleep and came here to collect some morning breakfast for us.
I reached the trees and starting collect the fruits,the tree are not short not tall either i went on my toes and plug and put them in to a small bag.when i hearing squeaking sounds feom somewhere i move towards where the noise came.i saw a group of monkeys.they are small, brown in colour i dont know this island has monkeys its ok for monkeys than a killer animals like lion or tiger.
Then i found they eating a small berry like thing.that berries are lot here.then it hit me if they could eat its definitly edible for humans to so i collected the berries too.changes in the menu may be better for us.we eating the same fruit for day and night.abey would be happy to see this i thought to myself and went back to the hut.
When i reached our place I found abey is still sleeping which is not seems to be good.i approached him and feels him by place my hand in his forehead i felt his body temperature is above normal.i dont know how to help him in this situation.we dont have any medicinal supply,no doctor,no help but leaving him like this is leads to bad situation.
I sit beside him cover him with a long fabric which i uses as my lying mat so he may get some comfort.i ran outside and torn a cloth
Into small piece soak the cloth with water and put them in to his forehead.
To make sure he was ok i startes talking to him. "Abey.."i called him.he s not reaponding but his breathing was even and stable which give me a small relief. "Abey" i called him again with a small push on his shoulder.he slightly stirred on his sleep and try to open his eyes.
He open his eyes looking at me his eyes are a bit red and he looks pale due to his fever. "Abey, are you ok?" I asked.
He said "I_ i my ets spilng__" came with a muffled tone. I get closer to him and listen "tell me again" i asked.
"M_ my heads are spinning i felt tired" he saids and closed his eyes and He folded his hand and wrap himself.
"U feel cold?" I asked.he nod for reaponse.he felt cold inside high temperature outside.i wrap him fully with the fabric to make him warm.
I felt bad for him,for sure he miss his family right now,i never let him think about that in this situation.now its my responsibility to make him feel better especialy in this state everyone need a pampering somehow i also a reason why he s now like this. he is annoying to me but never let me stay hungry and work hard to make us a shelter what bring him this,so i stay in the tent and sit next to him.
Its almost 5o clock in evening.fortunatly i have my wrist watch to check what time it is.
I sit next to him watching him sleep,he is so pleasant in his sleep,en family pola abey family kuda kandipa ivana miss panuvaga, but naga uyiroda ilanu nenachitu irpaga, if my parents know me still alive they would be very happy.i exhaled my breath when noticed abey stir on his sleep.
He opened his eyes and trying to up. I hurried and help him by put my right hand on his back and holding his hand on my left.he still looks weak but better than before.he sit straight and streching his arms.
"Hi" i said seeing him sit like this makes me smile at him.he looking at me for a breif moment his face turned in to a confused one.
"You been here since morning?" He asked waiting for my reply. "Yeah,your health is not good since morning..is your head still hurting?" I asked.
He rubbing his forehead "yeah ok now" he said standing up and walk away.
I dont want to leave him alone in this state what if he fainted or something happens to him without my presence.i dont want to take any risk and i dont want to being alone here.avan ena pathukurana na avana pathukanu thats my responsibility. so i followed him like a ninja.
He stopped in middle and turned to me "are you following me?" He asked annoyingly.
"N_ no i was just looking after you" i managed with a sheepish smile.
"There is no difference, dont follow me" he said right in to my eyes start walking.whats wrong with him im here trying to help him but he and his attitude always sucks my brain.but this will never stops me, there is no way for us, in here we have to support eachother right or wrong i go after him.
"But what if something happens to you" i yelled to him put my hands oh my hip.
He turned again exhaled his breath came closer and looking in to my eyes "im not a baby" he watchs my expression " and i never had anyone's company while my nature call me"
Ohh he can tell me that, that how do i know he s gonna go for that.'then what do you think he s going for a fancy dinner?'my inner thought asks me.i groaned sit in the place where i stand i doddle in the sand with a nearby stick.i have a habbit of doddle when i thinking of something.this guy is strange what a big deal to kindly tell me that.
A while later, a strong figure sits beside me i never bothered to see coz i know its him. " saptya?" He asked looking at the ocean.his side contact with mine i can feel his body temperature.
I checked him to make sure he asking me or what.then he turn his head look at me asked "what? Why are you looking at me like that?"
" what else do you want me to do, a moment before you snapped at me, now you talked with care!!?" I said turned my head to other direction in disbelief.
"You mad at me?you mad at me for not bring you to my personal rest room" he said sarcasticaly and chuckled for his own joke.
I rolled my eyes "very funny".
"Ok hey listen" he call me i never turn to him. He poke my arm with his elbow said "Look at me".
I look at him with haughty expression. "Thanks.."he looking into my eyes " for taking care of me" he said i searching his face for any hint of joke but no he is genuinely thanking me,his blue eyes speaks more than his words. I feel my heart warms i cut our eye contact akwardly and divert the topic "hey i found something new" i exclaimed and bring him my new discovery to him.
He also felt me and handle the akward situation in betwewn us and follows me by tasting the berries "this is amazing" he said "how did you get those?" He added.
I started explaining what happens in the moring and how i found the berries and things.he tell me about how he get sick and end of the talk he assure me that he is ok now,which make me feel better.
