I placed the book I got from Ace down on my bed, I was reading something I had read a few times before. Cinderella. It was a beautiful story, and I liked how it went all together. But sometimes I couldn't avoid comparing it to the movie, I still liked the book and it was way better. I sighed when the lights turned off, it was time to sleep. Yet I couldn't get myself to sleep. I peeked my head down to see Ace wide awake, holding a flashlight and was reading a book.
"Psst! Ace!" I called and her Deep Ocean eyes looked at me, then she rose a brow. "I can't sleep, and you don't talk much. What can I do?" I heard shifting and the light showed me that she shrugged, her eyes not leaving mine. I then sat on my bed before jumping down, I heard grunts and saw a few shifts on Axel's side. "Axel?" I questioned.

"I'm trying to sleep, please don't disturb me." He said in a hushed tone, afraid to wake anyone up. "And aren't you tired?"

"Sadly, no." I admitted, even if today was quite tiring I still didn't feel sleepy after a long day. I saw him sit up from the only light we had, Ace's flashlight. Where did she even get that? Axel then sighed.

"Well, what do you propose we do?" He asks, his eyes meeting mine. "I.. I don't know, we're limited to the things around us..." I bit my lips in frustration, I hated it in this cell. A hand then made its way on my shoulder, which made me jump. I turned my head and saw Ace pointing at the door, I rose a brow. "It's locked." I told her matter of factly, her ocean eyes rolled before she walked to the metal door and pushed it open. My mouth hung open, this wasn't real ... was it? I walked closer to Ace and I saw her smirk at me, which made me roll my eyes. Show off.
"Hey!" Axel called from behind me, his tone hushed. "Are you sure that's a good idea? We'll get punished if they saw us." I smiled at him. "They wouldn't leave the door unlocked at night if they knew we knew they aren't that strict ... right?" I asked, my mind going around with so many ideas on what we could do.

"You coming Axel?" I asked when both me and Ace were already outside of the cell door. The boy shook his head, and I just closed the door to not draw any suspicion as to why it was open in the first place. Ace led the way to some place while I looked around, humming a simple tone until a white entity was right in front of me, it was the little girl I saw the first time I got here. "Hello." I said, my voice barely audible. The little girl smiled before she disappeared, but I didn't mind for Ace had led us to some garden area inside the asylum. It was more outside than inside actually, it grew a giant apple tree in the middle and flowers grew around it like a medow. I stared in awe, I couldn't belive there was something like this inside this scary looking place.
I saw Ace sit down under the tree and I copied her moves, I then laid my back on the tree and enjoyed the scenery. It was bright in here because of the moon that shined just above the glass roof of this place.

"It's so peaceful here." I commented in which Ace just nodded to, I didn't want to pry why she didn't talk but my curiosity is getting the best of me and I needed to know!

"Hey Ace?" The mute girl looked at me with dull deep ocean eyes, her pale skin shined under the moonlight. She was waiting for me to continue. "Why don't you talk?" I finally asks, my attention all focused on her.

She parted her lips, ready to speak...

I tossed in my sleep, so I just sat up. I was glad I had a few hours of sleep before I woke up at this hour. I turned my head around to adjust my eyes in the darkness, I yawned before laying back down again. Sighing to myself.
