Chapter Seventeen

A good day never lasts

I've been recovering and all I could hear was war down stairs, Amber telling me two of our men had been gone and Gabe comforting me while it all happened.
Then when I finally got to stand up, Gabe was there to guide me. I seriously need to look brave now, I can't have Gabe be with me all day and all night because I can't handle anything now that my hand has a bullet hole, my body full of scars and wounds. I growled at myself as I watched TV, which made Gabe look at me with the little girl. I sighed as I waved my good hand in the air to tell her it was nothing, she nodded then began playing with the little girl more. It has been a while since I went out, I sure do need the air.
Axel, Gabe, Taiyo and Nishi picks up the supplies like always. Amber, Wendy and with their new companion, the little girl, they've finished dinner faster now. Ace? Being locked up in their room for almost two days now, Vivian told me she was being yelled at by Wilson and when it all died down she never left her room. Wilson on the other hand pretended it didn't happen, but in his eyes I know something did and he is fucking pleased with it.
Gunther had been distant. Mark would always be with Axel, asking if he was okay because he somewhat felt responsible for Axel going out at night and I clearly doubt its anyones fault. I stood up and dropped the remote down on Gabe's lap before I limply walked towards the door, I didn't even open it when Gabe stood beside me and asked in a sweet tone.

"Where are you going?" I shrugged then sighed. "I needed some fresh air, I'm going for a walk." I twisted the knob then opened the door until Gabe stopped me. "We'll come with you, to see if you'll be fine."

I didn't want to argue, I just wanted to go outside and breath fresh air for once so I just nodded to her and quickly the little girl jumped in her hand. "I'll come too!" She declared.
I sighed and then walked out, waiting for them to follow and Gabe walked out after me with the little girl in her arms. "Hurry up." I said puffing out my cheeks, I really didn't ask for any of this.

"Stop being a Tsundere Minami~!" I snapped my head towards them and they were giggling with each other, her and the little girl. "What's that suppose to fucking mean?" I snapped. "Ahem, Language! Not in front of the little girl." I rolled my eyes and urged her to continue. "Well, Gwen told me her sister acted like a Tsundere. A Tsundere by my research is a person who is mean to someone they like or care about. I just thought it was funny because it fit you so well." Gabe's closed eyed smile made my face all heat up, what the fuck is this feeling? I gripped my stomach with my good hand because I felt a little sick like there were these things inside my stomach fluttering. I gulped then turned away pouting. "That doesn't fit me at all! Now l-lets just g-go!" I turned away from them and began walking away and I could hear Her run after me.
I looked up and I smiled, it has been a while since I last saw the sky this beautiful, and I kinda missed it.

"Beautiful sight isn't it?" I heard Gabe ask which made me look at her, and I saw some twinkle in her eyes and I smiled. "Yeah, it sure is." I said referring to something better than the sky itself. I turned away when I saw her trying to turn my way, I saw her grin from the side and that made me crack a smile.

"W-Who's that?" We all turned to where the little girl had pointed and when I looked back at Gabe she had this wide eyed shock face.

"Y-You..." she mutters out.
