Chapter 4

*Olivia's POV*

I woke up to a loud noise. I proped myself up on my elbow's and looked at my window. Rain was coming down, hard. I thought my window was going to break, then there was thunder followed by lightning. I shuddered, looking down at the goosebumps that appeared on my arm. I laid back down in my bed, covering myself up in the sheets. I turned on my side, thinking of Niall. I would always call him in the middle of the night if I woke up from the rain and thunder. Now, he's probably in London making new friends and living out his dream. I frowned at the thought. I remembered last night when I saw him turn around just before boarding his airplane, he mouthed something to me. I smiled to myself when I played back the night in my head. He had mouthed, 'I love you." I couldnt stop smiling after he left. I didn't know if I had feelings for him, or vice versa, but I knew something was different between us. I already missed him.

I woke up the next morning, I could of swore the rain got harder. This is just one of the things I disliked about Ireland. I got a bowl out of the cupboard and filled it with some cereal then made my way over to the couch and turned on the tv. As I waited for it to turn on I looked over to the backyard and saw the couch swing getting soaked. I felt like that was me and Niall's friendship, being soaked and ruined. I turned away when I heard the voices of the people on the tv. After a while I turned on the station that had the X factor showing, Simon was talking about how the process was going, it was live. My parents had already gone to work so I figured I'd just stay in my pj's and do nothing all day.

I watched as the camera showed all the people who, like Niall, had recieved yes's. I searched for Niall through the crowd of people, then I spotted him. Of course he was eating, and I laughed a little. Then I saw him talking to other people around him, they were all laughing and looked like they were having a really good time. A part of me was happy that he was making new friends and doing good, but another part was jealous that he wasn't here with me.

I didn't feel like doing anything today, then that Bruno Mars song got stuck in my head. Like Niall, I had a super fast matabolism. I found that I could eat just as much as him, I made my way over to the fridge and stood there for awhile just looking for something. I got frustrated and ended up back on the couch with nothing to eat. The rain continued to pour down, a chill ran down my body as the house cooled itself. It was just me and the television today, how exciting.

A few days had passed by and the rain had continued, I started to wonder if I was ever going to see the sun again. My mum was fairly happy because she knew her plants outside were getting a good watering. I was becoming upset with Niall, he had been in London for almost a week and he hadn't even bothered to call. I guess his new friends were more intresting than me. One of my close girlfriends, Sammy had called me up saying a few friends of hers were having a get together at her house. I gladly accepted her offer and started to get ready.

I looked in my closet finding nothing to wear. I picked out a few outfits following Sam's guidelines of looking 'cute' for tonight. I decided to wear a navy blue floral spaghetti strap dress with some black ankle boots. I kept my hair naturally curly but pinned back a few strands. I grabbed a coat and made my way downstairs.

"Wow, you look very cute!" I smiled at my mum's comment and twirled around a bit watching a smile spread over her aging face.

"Thanks, mum. I'll be back in a few hours." i gave her a quick kiss and ran out to my car, trying not too get too wet. I pulled out of the drive way and started to my friend's house. As I passed Niall's house, my heart sunk a bit, why hasn't he called?
