Chapter 9- Chicken And Surprises

Chapter 9-

<Shane's POV>

I could hear her voice, but she wasn't in the room.

Get it together Shane, she isn't even on this Earth anymore!

I waited for a couple more minutes, and when I didn't hear her voice again I went back to sleep.

I woke up the next morning, and decided not to tell Joey about what happened last night.

It was probably just a dream.

What Joey didn't know couldn't hurt him.

Right?

I couldn't find my phone so I looked at Joey's to see what time it was.

Hmmm. It was only nine.

Suddenly Joey got a text from his sister Nichole.

Nichole- When are you coming to visit Joey? We all miss you!

I smiled and quickly replied.

Joey- Real soon! Getting tickets now. I hope you don't mind that I bring Shane too.

Nichole- Not at all! We're so excited to meet him!

I smiled and deleted all of our texts. This had to be a surprise.

<Joey's POV>

I woke up and rolled over to see my handsome boyfriend, only to find that he wasn't there.

I grabbed my phone and walked downstairs finding Shane sitting on the couch staring at his laptop.

I walked up to him and he was too focused on his laptop to notice me.

"Are you watching porn?" I asked, snapping him out of his trance.

He quickly slammed his laptop shut and stood up.

"NO! I mean, no I'm not.... Just, I need you to go to the store and get some groceries. I swear I wasn't watching porn!" He said talking quickly.

He was acting so weird.

I rolled my eyes at him. He was so watching porn.

I grabbed his belt loops and pulled him to me making him grunt in surprise.

"If you were horny, why didn't you just tell me Shane?" I asked seductively.

He pushed me away and crossed his arms.

"Joey. I wasn't watching porn." He defended giving me a cold stare.

"Whatever. I'm going to whole foods now. Goodness gracianious Shane." I said turning towards the door to leave.

"Wait!"

I was taken by surprise when Shane pulled me into a hug.

He rocked me back and forth, and rubbed my back soothingly.

"I love you so much Joey-bear." He whispered, making my heart melt.

"Aw, I love you too Shaney!" I said kissing him lightly on the lips.

I quickly hopped in my car to go to Whole Foods. The sooner I left, the sooner I could see Shane again.

<Shane's POV>

As soon as Joey left, I opened up my laptop and printed out the tickets.

Then it hit me, I had to pack before Joey got back! We were leaving tonight!

I quickly packed all of me and Joey's stuff and grabbed some condoms. (Just in case.)

I heard my phone go off and I had a text from Joey.

Joey <3- Checking out at the store. B home soon babe! Miss you!

Shane- Miss you too! Oh, and we're going out to lunch when you get back.

Joey <3- As long as they serve chicken.

I chuckled. Oh Joey.

I then texted Joey's sister and told her my plan.

She agreed to pick us up and said that she was excited to meet me.

After that, I walked up to Sawyer's room and knocked on his door.

"Come in!" He shouted.

"Hey Sawyer, I'm taking Joey on a surprise trip to Boston for a couple days. He just bought food so you won't starve. You're okay with this right?" I said.

"Of course I am! Joey will be so happy! He loves surprises!" He replied.

When I was done talking with Sawyer, I quickly moved our suitcases to the trunk of my car so Joey wouldn't see them. Well, he hopefully wouldn't.

I heard Joey walking up to the door and I quickly shoved the tickets in my pocket.

<Joey's POV>

I walked in the door and was greeted by Shane.

"Let me take those Joey!" He shrieked, grabbing the bags of groceries from me.

I giggled as he put the groceries away as fast as humanly possible.

"Whats the rush Shane?" I asked.

"I'm starving!" He defended.

I rolled my eyes and leaned against the counter.

"You're always hungry." I mumbled.

Shane closed the fridge, and slung me over his shoulder.

I giggled as Shane grabbed his stuff and ran to the door.

When we got our food at the restuarant, I wasn't surprised that Shane finished his in 2.2 seconds.

I was only a couple bites into my chicken and he kept staring at me and tapping his foot impatiently.

"Okay, Shane you're scaring me. What's with the rush?" I said.

"Rush? What rush? I'm not rushing!" He defended.

I sighed. He was hiding something from me.

"Can you please just eat your chicken faster? I wanna go home."

I reached under the table and grabbed Shane's tapping foot, putting it in my lap.

"There. Now I caught your foot. That tapping was driving me nuts! I don't get why you're rushing. We have all night to- you know." I said, walking my fingers up Shane's leg.

He blushed and I shot him a wink.

After I finished my lunch me and Shane got in the car and he pulled something out from underneath his seat.

A scarf?

"Stay still." He whispered as he blinded me with the scarf.

"Shane what are you-" I was cut of by him pulling me into a gentle and loving kiss, making my heart melt. I frowned as he pulled away quickly.

"Just trust me Joey! I have a very special surprise for you." He said.

I grinned as he started the car.

Shane always gave the best surprises.
