Chapter 11- Proposal

Chapter 11-

<Joey's POV>

I knocked on the front door and was surprised to see my little brother Jett open the door.

"JOEY!" He yelled as he ran into my arms.

"What's up brother?" I said carrying him into the house.

He shrugged and kicked his legs until I put him down.

"MOMMY! DADDY! JOEY'S HERE!" He yelled.

I turned to Shane and we chuckled at his excitement.

Jett was so cute!

Moments later Jett ran back into the room with my Mom and Stepdad.

"Mom!" I cheered pulling her into a hug.

I hugged Bob and pulled away when I heard Jett talking to Shane.

"So you're the guy who kisses my brother in videos?" He asked.

I walked over to them and put my arm around Shane's waist.

"Well, it's not just in videos." Shane said.

I elbowed Shane in the ribs and Jett started laughing.

"Mom, Bob, this is my boyfriend Shane." I said letting go of his waist.

"I'm Deborah!" My Mom squealed pulling Shane into a hug.

They pulled away and him and Bob shook hands.

"Well, now that we're all acquainted, why don't we eat dinner together?" Deborah suggested.

"Sounds great!" I said, leading Shane to the dining room.

Me and Shane sat down next to eachother, and I moved my chair as close as it could get to Shane's.

He shot me a loving look and planted a kiss on my cheek.

I blushed when I saw that my Mom was looking at us.

She put her hand over her heart dramatically. "Aw! You guys are too perfect together!"

Embarassed, I hid my face in Shane's chest.

<Shane's POV>

After dinner I went into Joey's old room to get ready for bed.

I heard him and his Mom talking in a different room.

I turned around and I saw Lisa standing in front of me.

I knew somewhere in my head that she was dead, but for some reason I always believed that she was there. I mean, she had to be. I could hear her and see her, so that must mean that she was really there.

"Joey's cheating on you. He doesn't love you anymore." I heard Lisa say.

"You're crazy. Joey's loves me!" I replied.

"Well if you don't believe me why don't you see for yourself?" She reasoned.

I shrugged. It couldn't hurt to look.

I opened Joey's door up just enough to see through and watched the scene in the living room unfold.

I saw Joey hugging Jessica, and Deborah standing in front of them.

"You two are so adorable together! Much better together than Joey and Shane! I always knew that you were straight Joey." Deborah said.

My heart sunk and my eyes started filling with tears.

"I love Jessica so much!" Joey said staring lovingly into her eyes. "In fact- I love you so much that I have a very important question to ask you."

"What is it?" Jessica asked.

I rolled my eyes. Her voice is so annoying!

My heart practically stopped when Joey grabbed her hand and got down on one knee.

"Jessica, will you marry me?"

He pulled out a huge diamond ring, and smiled his huge Joey smile.

Tears filled her eyes. "Yes Joey! Of course I will marry you!"

I watched them hug and kiss and then closed the door. I couldn't watch anymore.

"And to think that you chose him over me." Lisa whispered.

<Joey's POV>

I was about to go to bed with Shane when my Mom asked to talk to me in private.

I nodded and walked into the living room with her.

"What's up?" I asked.

She sighed. "When your Dad saw the video you and Shane made, he wasn't too happy."

I nodded. "I knew that he wouldn't accept us."

She put her hand on my back. "Joseph, I think that you and Shane should go talk to him tomorrow, and maybe when he sees how happy you two are together he will begin to understand."

I smiled. "Thanks Mom. For everything." I said hugging her.

"I love you Joey." She said.

"I love you too Mom."

I pulled away and said goodnight.

I was about to open my bedroom door but stopped when I heard crying.

I took a deep breath and opened the door.

"What the hell Shane?"

<Shane's POV>

I started packing my suitcase with tears running down my cheeks. I had to get out of here.

"What the hell Shane?" I heard Joey say.

I zipped my suitcase and turned around.

"What the hell? What the hell to you! Congrats on your engagement. If you were straight why didn't you just tell me before I wasted so much time on you!" I whisper yelled.

Joey looked shocked.

He grabbed my waist and started laughing.

"Trust me baby... I am anything but straight." He growled into my ear.

He ran his hand up my thigh and I pushed him off of me. Hard.

<Joey's POV>

I winced in pain when Shane shoved me into the dresser behind me.

I couldn't believe it. Shane just pushed me.

"What the fuck is wrong with you!" I snapped.

"You really wanna know what's wrong with me?" He asked.

I nodded. We needed to resolve this.

"I just witnessed my boyfriend get engaged to somebody else." He said.

I was beyond confused.

"Are you talking about me?" I asked.

He rolled his eyes. "Don't play the special ed card Joey. I knew you were dumb, but I didn't know you were that dumb." He snapped.

That hurt. My eyes started to well up with tears. Why would he say that to me?

"Get out Shane." I whispered staring into his crystal blue eyes that were clouded with tears.

"Gladly." He replied, grabbing his suitcase and leaving the room.

I winced when I heard the front door slam.
