In New Urbem, Helen and Jane were waiting up near a walk area at the train station for any suspicious activity while a ceremony was in progress for an unveiling of a new super fast Hover-train.
"Are you sure the police are gonna be okay with this?" Jane asked.
"Sure" Evelyn replied through the bike's dashboard radio. "You're making life easy for them"
Helen lightly chuckled. "They still haven't forgiven us for the last time we made life easy for them"
"Relax, I know the chief of police" Winston assured them. "That won't be a problem"
"With all do respect, if you two alone had handled the Underminer things would've been different" Evelyn spoke up on her opinion. "I'm just saying"
The girls continued watching the ceremony at a distant, waiting for any danger to happen. A whole crowd was gathered at the station to watch the unveiling of the new monorail and be the first to test it out. The mayor soon cut the ribbon after his speech while the crowd cheered and a band played some ceremonial music.
"The future is open for business!" The mayor announced.
A good amount of people entered the hover-train, ready to test it out. The train was just starting to leave the station, but it came to sudden grinding halt.
"Wait, the train has stopped!" Helen looked up in sudden alert.
The train quickly started up again, but was going the other way.
"It's going in the wrong direction!" Jane noticed.
The train quickly left the station and was moving faster at dangerous high speeds.
"We're going after it!" Helen narrowed her eyes, pulling the handlebar back on the elasticycle that started up the engine.
The two superheroines zoomed off on the elasticycle, pursuing the train.
"This thing's really moving!" Jane called out.
"100 and climbing. How much track is built?" Helen asked.
"About twenty-five miles" Evelyn replied.
"And it's full of passengers?" Jane said.
"Great time for it to malfunction!" Helen added with a bit of sarcasm.
The girls continued chasing after the train on the elasticycle, evading oncoming cars and just barely clipping the back bumper of one.
"No one can shut this thing down?!" Helen asked.
"They've tried, no-go!" Evelyn replied.
Jane had obtained some of the family's and Krypto's powers but was starting to worry, knowing they would wear off any second. Jane was able to increase the speed up on the elasticycle a little by combining Kali's light energy powers and Krypto's super speed together the best she could. But it wasn't enough, as her substitute powers where just starting to wear off. The girls weren't anywhere near closer to catching up with the train.
The girls soon zoomed by past some police cars.
"Is that Elastigirl and Lady Sav?" The police officers couldn't believe their eyes once they saw the two female supers zoom past them.
The police weren't paying attention, until they turned back and suddenly put on the brakes. The police cars screeched to a stop, getting stuck in traffic.
"Overrides?!" Jane asked desperately.
"They're all locked out of the system!" Evelyn explained to them.
