Chapter 12

Meanwhile, back at home~

Bob brought Jack-Jack outside to the backyard were everyone else was waiting, as the baby was going to start demonstrating his powers in front of everybody.  

"Ready?" Bob asked the baby and Jack-Jack nodded. 

"Laser eyes" Bob instructed his infant son. 

And with that, Jack-Jack's eyes lit up and lasers shot out, cutting through things across the yard.  

"Stop" Bob told Jack-Jack, which he did. 

"Wow!" The rest of the kids and Mikey were all impressed and cheered for the baby. "Yay, Jack-Jack!" 

"Yeah, baby!" Dash said, saying the catchphrase his father always said whenever he was pumped up. 

"That's pretty amazing" Jacob admitted. 

"And that's not all" Bob said, picking up Jack-Jack. "Watch this" 

"Blaster ready?" Bob asked Jack-Jack, and the baby giggled. 

Bob held Jack-Jack up like a firearm and started firing the baby's laser eyes across the yard, while imitating the blaster sounds. 

"Pew! Pew! Pew! Pew! Pew!"

"No way!" Dash exhilarated, running around in circles speedy fast while the rest of the kids were astonished, all gathering around the super baby.  

"That is crazy radical!" Mikey added.  

"My turn! No, it's my turn! I get to blast him first! Let me try! I want him! Give him to me!" Mikey and the other teens started acting like impatient little kids, all wanting to take a turn at firing Jack-Jack's laser eyes. 

"Hey, I'm just demonstrating. No firing the baby around the house, you understand?" Bob chuckled lightly, telling the kids. "This is potentially dangerous... and we're trying to teach him to control his powers, okay?" 

"Dad, were we this much trouble at controlling our powers when we were babies?" Ann looked up and asked her father. 

Walter chuckled lightly in reply, smiling down at his daughter. "You have no idea" 

Just then, the tracker device started beeping widely. 

"Stop. See the screen" Bob asked Violet, who was holding the tracker at the time. 

Jack-Jack then suddenly disappeared, teleporting himself into another dimension.  

"He vanished!" Violet said. "That's really cool" 

The family came back inside the house and could hear Jack-Jack babbling coming through the other dimension. 

"Okay, good. Use the thing" Bob told his daughter. 

"That's the current readout. Click it. See the readout? Dimension four. See the shape? That's the room. See where he is in relation? So, where is he?" Bob asked. 

The kids looked around the room with the tracker, when the scanner soon started beeping widely, getting something. 

"He's... there!" Dash and the twins pointed out to the top of a decorative rock. 

"Okay. Come out" Bob called to Jack-Jack. "Num-num cookie?" 

Dash held out a cookie by the rock and Jack-Jack quickly reappeared, eating the cookie up. 

"Yay, Jack-Jack!" Everyone cheered. 

"Way to go, little buddy!" Kali said to Jack-Jack, smiling as she picked up the baby in her arms and started twirling around with him while he giggled some more.
