Chapter 10

Back in New Urbem~

Later that night at DevTech, there was a big party celebrating Elastigirl and Lady Sav's capture of the Screenslaver. People and Supers alike came from all over to show their support. 

"Attention. Attention" Winston clinked his glass cup, getting everyone to be quiet and listen as they all turned to the CEO of DevTech.  

"I wanna thank everyone that came out tonight... in support of superheroes and bringing them back into society!" Winston announced while everyone applauded. "You all made it happen" 

"The need for this has been made crystal clear in recent days... with bad actors like the self-proclaimed Screenslaver threatening our peace" Winston explained, showing off the Screenslaver's mask to the crowd. "His reign was short, huh?" 

Everyone cheered and applauded in agreement.  

"And thanks to these amazing women... two great supers. You love them. You missed them. Welcome back, Elastigirl and Lady Sav" Winston announced.  

A spotlight was shown on the two super heroines who both waved a little shyly while everyone cheered and applauded for them. 

"Come on up here. Don't be bashful" Winston gestured for the two female supers to come up on stage with him. "Come on. Get up here" 

Lady Sav and Elastigirl came up on stage with Winston and both hugged him in thanks for everything he had done for them and their families. 

"I want you to have this" Winston gave the Screenslaver's mask to the girls. "A memento" 

"Thanks, Winston, Evelyn, and everyone at DevTech" Lady Sav praised. "We are forever in your debt"  

"And thanks to all of you" Elastigirl looked to the crowd. "Your pressure changed all the right minds" she held out the Screenslaver's mask to show the crowd.  

"We've made amazing headway in a very short time, which leads me to an important announcement" Winston continued. "Just now, at a worldwide summit... leaders from more than a hundred of the world's top countries... have agreed to make superheroes legal again!"

This caused for the whole crowd to roar with excitement and cheering.  

"We'll gather superheroes and leaders from all over the planet... on our boat, the Everjust... for a televised signing ceremony at sea!" Winston proclaimed.  

"Now if you'll excuse us, we got a ship to catch!" Elastigirl and Lady Sav declared.

Everyone cheered as this was the greatest news ever. Things were finally starting to turn around for the Supers. 

Elastigirl and Lady Sav were talking with some fans, when Voyd came up to them. "Hey. Hi, it's me, again"

"Um, there's, uh, something I've always wanted to ask you two" Voyd began while Helen and Jane both smiled and nodded, listening. 

"Yeah, how do you balance the superhero stuff with the life stuff?" Voyd asked the two older and more experienced superheroes. "I know I can handle the superhero stuff, but..." 

But Voyd's conversation was beginning to fade, as both super heroines noticed something peculiar on the TV screen while it was playing footage of their battle with Screenslaver.  

"Uh-huh, uh-huh" Helen nodded to Voyd, getting distracted along with Jane. "Oh. Would you please excuse us a moment?"

"Oh. Yeah, okay, see you later!" Voyd said. "Good talk!" 

Helen and Jane left the room, away from the crowds to figure out what was that all about they had just seen on the TV with Screenslaver. They came into one of screen monitoring rooms, set things up and rewound the tape of the recording of them inside Screenslaver's lair.
