Chapter 1

I awoke that dismal morning, greeted with the lovely smell of sulfur and other gasses. "Good morning, Ladybug" my friend Alya said. "Yeah, just a lovely morning, right? Oh, and I love the new smell in here" I said. "The air quality has dropped ever since he took over" she said aiming a dart at our dart board. I noticed Nino was doing some typing on a computer. "And what do we have here, Carapace?" I said. "Just going through some stuff and plans for some... shall we say, devices?" He said. "Good luck with those. I can't wait to see them" I said. I suddenly heard a knock at my door. I opened it. Who do I see but that tyrant's spoiled brat of a son, Adrien. "What are you here for, brat?" I asked. He looked at me. "I want to join you" he said. I laughed. "You? Want to join us? Never. I won't let the likes of you join us Miraculers, got it? And how do I know you aren't spying or something?" I said. "I'm not. I'm fed up with my father. He's oppressing his own people. They have nothing. I want to change. I want to bring an end to this tyranny" he said.

He removed his face covering revealing strange looking eyes. He also had cat like ears on his head. He put his hand up and pulled off a glove. His hand was made of metal. He also appeared to have a metal leg. "I've suffered enough at the hands of my father. Look at me. I've got as much metal as a toaster. He's turning me more and more into a robot. I don't even feel like me anymore" he said. I turned away. "Come inside and I'll see what I can do, kitty" I said. He came in and shut the door.

"So, now what?" He asked. "Well, you need a codename. I've already got one for you, Adrien. You're going to be Cat Noir. I'm Ladybug" I said. I pointed to Alya and Nino. "That is Rena Rouge and Carapace" I said. They noded at him. You also need a face disguise, which I will create for you" I said. "Okay" he said. "Am I allowed to know anyone's real name?" He asked. I turned my back to him. "No. I will not tell you my real name. The other can if they are comfortable" I said. "There is no need to explain yourself here. We are all here because we are united against a common enemy, whatever the reason. The others are my friends" I said. "The three of us make up the leaders of the group. Other Miraculers are scattered throughout the city" I said. "You will remain here with us. Do you understand" I said. "Yes Ladybug" he said. "Good, welcome to the Miraculers group against Hawkmoth" I said. "Hawkmoth?" He asked. "That is what we call him" I said. "Okay then" he said.
