Chapter 7

Miss Fortune's P.O.V

"Sir, the young black cat boy is your son, Adrien" I said. "No! I never thought my own son would go against me. Volpina!" he said. "Yes sir?" She asked. "When is Project Akuma complete? I want to watch Marinette and Adrien suffer" he said. "Sir, the project will be completed in a few days. They will suffer, sir. I promise" I said. "Ugh! I don't want to wait that long! I want them to be punished. Can we rush the work?" He asked. "No, unless you want a failed project" I said. "Fine, finish as soon as possible" he said. "Adrien shall pay for his betrayal" he said.

Cat Noir's P.O.V

"Cat Noir, Max wants me to go to his weaponry base. You should come with" Ladybug said to me. "How do we get there?" I asked. "Underground elevator. Goes side to side instead of up and down" she said. "How far?" I asked. "About a mile in the elevator. Approximately 45 minutes that way" she said pointing. "Come on, Cat Noir" she said motioning to the elevator. I got on and sat down and waited a while.

45 minutes later....

"We are here" she said opening the door. I saw a lot of weapons on the wall. They looked like toys, but there were secret compartments for guns and other amo. "Welcome, Captain Ladybug! And hello to our new member, Cat Noir. Welcome to my Secret Weapon Gallery" Max said. "What did you need to tell me, Gamer?" Ladybug asked.

"I have completed my collaboration with Princess Fragrance. I have invented an upgrade for the yo-yo and Cat Noir's staff. You see, the weapons originally were ment to be used together until I separated them. I have invented the Lucky Charm, a weapon upgrade that could cause the Moth Empire to fall. For the staff, I created Cataclysm, a weapon upgrade that destroys anything in its path. The Lucky Charm creates a force that will destroy the Empire" he said.

"The only problem is that the combination of chemicals also causes the user to, supposedly, die. The staff upgrade is not as dangerous, but creating a powerful force is highly dangerous. He held a metal capsule. "This is for the staff. Just insert it into the compartment and its ready to use" he said. "But Ladybug, you'll die if you use Lucky Charm. I don't want to see that happen" I said. "Chaton, listen. I've been trying to stop hawkmoth my entire life. I want the people to be set free. I want them to choose a new and fair leader. I've now got a slight chance of saving them. I'm going to sacrifice myself for the greater good of everyone" she said. I started crying and turned away. "Kitty?" She said putting her hand on my shoulder.

"Do you even think about the feelings of those you know and love? Do you really think they'll be ok, Marinette? Maybe they don't understand. Maybe they actually care about your well being" I said. "Cat Noir, please stop. I never thought it would come to this. I don't want to do this. But sometimes, we have to make tough choices that people may not agree with" she said. "You still have a choice. You can't, Ladybug" I said. "Max, give me each of the new weapon updates for the staff and yo-yo. I'll try and come up with a plan" she said. He handed her a box. I walked toward the second elevator. "Cat Noir, where are you going?" She asked.

"To the surface. I need to be alone right now" I said. I went up and walked around. I began taking my staff and smacking it against things. I stood for a moment. "Oh Adrien, so foolish as to expect them to accept you" Volpina said. Her clones grabbed me and covered my mouth. "I think we need to put this cat in the bag" she said. She dragged me to the Moth's Tower. "Let's make sure he can't leave. Guards, lock the doors!" She said. "I never expected this from you, Adrien. I thought you were better than this. Guards, make sure our guest is locked up nice and tight" she said. They handcuffed me and cuffed my legs together. "Now, to your new living quarters" she said. She walked me to a prison cell and pushed me in. "Now that we have you, its time for the initiation of our plan" she said. "We are going to trick your Ladybug to come here. Knowing her, she'll bring the backup. When she does come, we'll unleash our project on you both" she said.

"What project?" I asked. "Miss fortune, care to explain?" She said to her. "Well, project Akuma wasn't just our creation, Cat Noir. Project Akuma were the creation of the Akumas, a species of butterfly that feeds off of negative energy. We've produced them so they can create negative energy too" Miss Fortune said. "Lovely, and how do you expect to get to Ladybug?" I asked. "I'm glad you asked. Luka?" Volpina said. A strange metal boy came in. His face was half covered in metal. He wore a strange black cloak and it appeared as if he had a metal leg.

"Ladybug lives underground. Your forces cannot see them because of the shield" he said. "I shall deliver the note to Marinette" he said. I suddenly saw a familiar shadow. "Father... " I said. "Adrien, I'm very disappointed in you. I thought you were better than this" he said.

"Well father, I'm sick and tired of seeing your people starved because you keep taxing them! They have nothing! Ladybug's rebellion is the only one who is brave enough to stand against you" I said. "Son, you have been blinded by these rebels. I suggest you abandon this pathetic business" he said. "No" I said. "Fine, I'll let you have your fun. You and LadyBug will go against all of my akumas" he said. "In the end, you will see that your choices are wrong" he said.
