Laughing thunder [#Wattys 2018]

Chapter 12: Day 2

     After Ms. Da Vinci's class, it was the end of classes for the day. After we finished dinner I immediately went to sleep and when I fell on my mattress all of the pain from today came back and I knew that when I would wake up it would be even worse.

On the next day, I was right everything came back with full force sending aches and pains throughout my body, especially my wings. Somehow I managed to drag myself from the comfort that was my bed. When I walked out of my room I saw CJ looking like all the life was drained out of him.

"Ciao, Rough night for you too huh," I asked sleepily

"Yep, please kill me"

"Nope, if I'm gonna get tortured you're coming with me."

"Whyyyy"

"Come on you big baby lets get some food before it's time for class," I said dragging him by his shirt collar while he groaned. After we ate breakfast we separated into our first classes.

"Welcome Thomas, hope you had a great rest!" Oak said enthusiastically. How he gets that energy I have no idea, whatever it is I need some of it.

"Nope not at all, I feel like death" Oak responded by slapping me on the back

"That's no way to act my friend! We must do our best 1,000 percent! That's what I say!" I couldn't help but smile at his energy.

"Heh, sure 1,000 Percent!"

"Hey class, hope you had a great first day!" Mr. Watts said full of energy. Half of the class responded with energy and the other half groaned.

"Okay, maybe this will get the sleep out of your eyes. Today we are working on attacking and using our powers in different ways, for example,"

He made bolts of lightning in his hands and sent them around the room striking the walls leaving black marks. After this, I felt the electricity he was producing rise as I noticed he had it coursing through himself. When he moved he became a blur impossible to be seen.

"First let's start off with this try to catch me, using your powers, but know this I'm not gonna be holding back, so let's get this started." Immediately after he sped off leaving everyone at a loss of where to find him. After this, after many people tried and failed at capturing him I began to think of how to know where he is and of a way to catch him besides myself. He obviously has more experience with this skill then I do and when I do use it it's sporadic and uncontrolled. To track him you need to see the electricity meaning metal and you need a good insulator to keep him grounded, then it hit me.

"Jet, Oak come here!"

"Thomas, what is it?" Oak boomed

"Hm, whats up?"

"I'm gonna need you two to help me stop Mr. Watts also spread the word to anyone who has the ability to conduct or monitor his electricity." After they left, they returned with two people. There was a girl who wore a blue dolphin shirt with brown shorts. She had long blue hair made of water as well as her wings. She also had fair skin and clear blue eyes. Her name was Aqua

Jet brought a guy with green Glass wings with sharp brown hair and tan skin he wore a tank top and blue jeans with a black armband. His name was Lite.

"Glass and water perfect! Hey, my names Thomas nice to meet you both!" I said excitedly as I felt my static increasing as the plan continued developing in my mind.
"N-nice to meet you as well T-Thomas. My name is Aqua" the girl stuttered.

"Sup, and thee names Lite"

"Okay, Thomas we've found two people what do you need?"

"Yeah, I haven't seen you this excited before"
