Devon's POV

We were all sat at the table with plates full of shepards pie and cabbage. I sat next to Benji today, which seemed to surprise the parents. Dad kept looking in our direction with a smirk. Apparently Benji decided not to say anything because even though he noticed he remained silent. He didn't know about my little conversation that I had with Dad, so he was probably very confused from the smirks.

"Hey, do you wanna move upstairs with the movies after dinner? It's getting kinda late and if I fall asleep I will be pissed waking up on the couch." Benji suggested, whilst Dad and Katie flirted shamelessly. Benji fake gagged a couple of times, earning what seemed like painful kicks to his shins from under the table. I couldn't surpress my laughs at that, and the look Benji got made me think he was proud. I take a sip of my water, and swallow before nodding.

"Yeah, that sounds great actually. What movie is next on the list?" I asked, followed by a bite of my roasted cabbage.

"I think it's The Notebook." Benji muttered quietly, probably hoping that Dad and Katie didn't hear but apparently they did because as soon as the words left his cute little mouth the parents both burst into a fit of laughter. Benji very obviously rolled his eyes and nudged my shoulder. The look that he was giving me was hinting towards a Let's Go. I got the hint, so we both cleared our plates then took the movies upstairs to Benji's room once again. I lied down on his bed, the mattress that smells so much like him. I crawled under the covers and inhaled, loving his addicting scent. I looked up, watching Benji hook up The Notebook and then climb into bed beside me.

The movie starts off, and I notice how Benji immediately moves closer to me. I noticed, considering he wasn't very subtle and I smile but say nothing.

"Don't look at me like that. You're comfortable." He grumbled, moving up against me and sighs contently. I wrap my arm around his waist and I'm pretty sure he can see the blush on my cheeks, but I'm hoping that it's too dark to tell. He said nothing, and we continued to watch the movie in silence. It was a Comfortable silence though, unlike the tense dinner we were having.

"Why didn't you write me? I waited for seven years, and now it's too late." Rachel McAdams' character cried as they stood outside in the pouring rain.

"Would you wait for seven years for someone?" I asked Benji. He seems to think about it for a moment before he answered.

"I think I would if I were truly in love, but I wouldn't wait for them if I was in love with someone else. You know? But I guess that doesn't really answer the question." He rambled, probably unsure of his own words.

"I think I would. If the person treated me right." I answered. Benji nodded in agreement, and the conversation ended there.

"It wasn't over. And it still isn't over." Ryan Gosling's character said dramatically, before he pulled the love of his life in for a kiss.

I continued to watch the intense kiss that the two characters were having, when suddenly Benji's warm and soft hands were cupping my cheeks. He looked me in the eyes for a short moment, and I was desperately hoping that he was going to kiss me. But, I didn't think it would really happen. I guess tonight is just full of surprises then, huh? I realize that his lips are in mine but I haven't moved yet, so I quickly dive into the passionate kiss.

The quiet mumbling of the tv was heard in the background, but I paid no attention to that as I came to the realization that Benji and I were finally kissing.

I know I attempted to kiss him earlier today, but that was different because I was the one who wanted to initiate it. Not like it would have ever happened though, because I don't have the guts to do that kind of stuff.
