Benji's POV

"Yes."

"No."

"Yes, I said yes!"

"And I said no, Benji!"

"You can't talk to your Sex God that way!" I gasped, putting my hand to my chest and giving Devon a horrified look.

"Oh my.. I said no, and that's final." Devon growled, grabbing me by my waist and pulling me close to him. I let out a sigh and look at him with my pouty face.

"Please? For me?" I whined, sticking out my bottom lip and batting my eyelashes. Devon rolls his eyes and reaches up to grab my bottom lip between his fingers.

"That's not fair. You can't act all cute when you want something." Devon groaned, releasing my lip.

"But Baby, pleaaaasseeee?" I asked, trailing my index finger in random patters on his shoulder.

"Okay, Benji. Fine." Devon shook his head, probably thinking that he couldn't believe he gave in.

"Really?" I gasped, a wide smile forming into my lips.

"Yes, Benji. We can get the kitten." He sighed, turning and looking at the animal shelter that we had been walking by. There is an undeniably adorable kitten that's on the poster outside. The words underneath the kitten say, I need a forever home.

"Yay! Thank-you!" I squealed, pressing my lips to his gently, before opening the door to the animal shelter. We hold hands as we walk in and it makes butterflies appear in my stomach.

You see, Devon and I decided to go for a walk and go get milkshakes after the gang left. We were on our way back from getting milkshakes when I made us stop walking to look at the kitten poster.

"Hello, boys. What can I do for you today?" The woman behind the large wooden desk asked us, with a small smile.

"The kitten that's on the poster outside, is it here, still?" I asked, hopefully. The woman's smile changes into a look of confusion before a thought seems to dawn on her.

"Oh, no. That's just a poster. We don't actually have that kitten. But I could take you to the back and show you the kittens that we do have." She answered, standing up and motioning towards the back room. I look up at Devon and he just smiles affectionately. I smile back and we follow the woman into the room where all of the animals are. The woman turns as if she is going to say something, but her words seem to disappear when her eyes lock onto our clasped hands. I glare at her for being so obviously surprised, and she seems to get the hint. She smiles again, and points to a certain kennel.

"This is where most of the kittens are. I'll be out at my desk. You can call for me if you have a question." She said, then walking back the way we came. I run over to the kittens and pull Devon with me. Inside the small jail that these kittens are in, I see that there's about twelve of them. The few that stand out the most are too cute for words. There is a chunky shorthair orange one with a white strip of hair on his back, that is sleeping adorably. Beside it is a jet black one with big blue eyes. But the kitten that really catches my attention is a white one with orange ears and an orange spot on her left side. Her head is shaped differently than the rest, and her eyes seem to take up her whole face. She is sitting down in the corner and looking at all of the cats with the cutest expression.

"That one!" I squealed, excitedly.

"You've got to be kidding me. It looks like it has down-syndrome." Devon groaned, facepalming himself.

"WE FOUND THE ONE WE WANT!" I screamed, ignoring Devon. He gives me an annoyed look, but the woman comes into the room anyways. She seems quite surprised and confused about how I decided to get her attention, but she says nothing.
