Ren heads to school and meets some new friends along the way.

April 9, Cafe LeBlanc

Morning was rising as everything and everyone was returning back to its normal state.  Ren, fully showered and dressed, was waiting for Sojiro to finish his last cup of coffee. Morgana was lept from the table and onto the backpack.

"Alright, kid;" Sojiro finished his coffee. "Ready to go?"

"Yeah." Ren replied as Morgana hid inside a backpack.

"I don't know if I told you this, but I'm enrolling you to Shujin Academy." The old man continued as he walked out of the counter. "And that means you better be on your best behavior, got it."

"Yeah."

"Okay, good."

As they started driving, traffic became worse and worse. Thus Sojiro started cursing more and more. Luckily they weren't that far from the place.

Shujin Academy

The two then stood at the front of the school, near the steps.

"This is it, kid." Sojiro said looking up at the school. "Shujin Academy. Not bad for a place that enrolls juviniles, huh?"

Ren just simply nodded.

"C'mon, let's go introduce ourselves to the staff at your new school, shall we?"

And so they headed into the place, from the first floor all the way to the principle's office, where they met--of course--the principle himself, along with a female adult with short and burnette hair.

"Ah, Sojiro Sakura, just the man I wanted to see." said the overweight man as he shook the old man's hand.

"Back at you." Sojiro replied.

The principle then turned towards Ren. "And you must be...Ren Amamiya, correct?"

"Yes, sir." The bespectacled boy replied.

"I see. Now then, allow me to make myself perfectly clear: cause any trouble and you will be expelled. Frankly, I had serious reservations about accepting you at all. But well, these are rather special circumstances...."

Ren nodded in affirmation. Why am I not surprised? He thought.

"Don't think we'll be so lax as your used to back home." The principle continued. "Misdemeanor will not be tolerated. Are we clear?"

"Yeah." The boy nodded.

The principle then turned to the female adult. "This will be your new homeroom teacher, Ms. Sadayo Kawakami."

"Please to meet you." The lady replied. "Shall we get to class?"

"Sure." Ren said as he followed the lady out of the room, leaving Sojiro and the principle.

"You sure you're doing okay?" The overweight principle asked with concern. "Taking care of him that is."

"The kid has a criminal record, sure." Sojiro replied. "But he seems alright."

"I see."

"This is your classroom." Kawakami kindly replied, showing Ren a group full of students that appeared to be talking to each other.

One girl with the beige, ponytailed, hair looked up and saw the bespectacled boy. "Oh, you must be the new student." She exclaimed as she got up.

Ren gulped in anxiety. Never in his life has any kid talked  to or even paid notice to him. Especially on criminal record.

"Go on, talk to her!" Morgana whispered through the peep hole of the bag, to which cause the teacher to hear the cat.

"What was that?" the teacher asked curiously. "Sounding like a cat purring."

"O-Oh;" Ren stuttered. "Th-that was just my phone! It makes these weird noises all the time!"

"Well, make sure to put on mute while you're in class."

"G-Got it!" And the raven-haired boy walked away towards the ponytailed girl. "U-Um, hi..."

"Geez, what's with you?" The boy in the yellow hair grumbled impatiently.

"Oh will you stop!" The girl said. "He's obviously trying to make friends."

"Yeah, and speaking of which;" Kawakami intervened. "Try not to scare him away, Ryuji!"

"Yeah, yeah!" The boy heavily sighed. "I gotta be a good boy!"

"So sorry about that, this is Ryuji Sakamoto. He's a bit ill-tempered..."

Ren didn't mind. There were a lot of school bullies in his past, so this shouldn't have been a surprise.

"Right, well, why don't we get started with class in a few minutes." And with that she walked away.

"So, what's your name?" The ponytailed girl asked.

"Ren. Ren Amamiya." The bespectacled boy replied.

"Super! My name's Ann. Ann Takamaki." She then turned towards the burnette haired girl. "And this is Shiho."

"It's nice to meet you." Shiho replied with a smile.

Ann then directed Ren's attention to another boy with blue hair looking at his phone. "And this is Yuuki Mishima."

Mishima didn't say anything, just smiled and waved, which was enough to seem polite.

"Okay, quiet down!" Kawakami said interrupting the chattering among the students. "As some of you are aware, we have a new student with us. Please show some respect for him."

This caused the students to chatter again.

"Isn't he the guy on the news."

"I heard he assaulted someone that other day."

Hearing those comments, Ren just felt sick to his stomach.

"Also, today's the volleyball rally. Head to the gym once it's time, got it?"

This made him perk up. Oh yeah he thought. Might wanna try that..if I want people to respect me.

In fact, he suddenly realized that he did get signed up for it during his enrollment after all.

He may have been a criminal, but at the very least he isn't alone anymore.

I'm gonna end it here. Since the cutscene transitions from the classroom to the volleyball gym.
