I had no idea where I was going, but I did know I wasn't going back. I just drove south then north. It was just the rode and I for miles. I stoped in one town before to get a new phone since I left my old one there so they couldn't track me. I also bought a charger and some food. I drove and drove for days. The days turned into nights and nights into days. I stopped counting after two. The temperature continued to drop as I drove. It was getting closer to winter each day. I had to stop soon. All my earnings wouldn't last me forever and I still need them for my new life. So I decided the next town I would end up in would be my destination. Soon enough, one turned up.
I drove into the closest gas station to fill up gas. I waited and observed as gasoline entered my ride. There was a couple other cars here and one in in the parking lot. People around me stared at me. Which I'm not exactly surprised. I mean I am on motorcycle. I looked down and checked my new phone. It was December, 12th. I put my phone away. "OH" I yelled. I looked back down after everybody jumped. In two days is my birthday. In two days I can change my last name! I soon as the gas stopped I paid and drove off once more. I decided to explore the town. I drove past a bank, a bunch of houses, apartments, and offices, and last but not least a school. I have to figure out how to get enrolled into school without parents. It was a small town with woods surrounding it. 'Looks like I found my new home' I thought to myself. I drove away from the building and to the woods and found a cave. Strange yes. But how am I supposed to rent an apartment if I'm not eighteen? Plus no one would expect me to be here.
Nightfall came sooner than expected. The stars shown bright out here. It was more beautiful then I could ever imagine. Two days passed quickly. As soon as the clock hit noon I drove to the registry office and parked. I walked in and up to the counter. The woman there was older and wore caked make-up. "How can I help you today miss?" She asked. "I would like to change my last name." She nodded and handed me a form after I showed my I.D. It took me sometime to finish, but it will all be worth it. I decided to change my last name from Jones, to Winters. I love my first name so I decided to keep it. I filled out the last form and handed back to her. She looked at it and said "congratulations miss... Winters" I smiled and walked out with my new identity.
I needed a place to live now. An actual place to live. So I drove to the other side of town too the apartments for rent. I called the renter and arranged everything. We met in person and he eventually handed over the keys. For once my life was turning up. I would be able to live my own life. I would be happy once again. I smiled as I walked into the fully furnished apartment. It was approximately 800 square feet. Home. A place to call my own. I would buy a bigger place later, but I needed something temporary. I left home early with the spare key to find where they did fights and races. Every town has one, but not everyone knew about them. I hopped on my bike and drove. There were several abandoned places here so I checked them out. I drove around every single one in town. Nothing. I decided to go to the woods to calm me. I walked around for a while. Soon enough a building came into sight.
It looked empty. Hope filled my chest. I walked around it to find a muscled guy in front of an entrance. I practically yelled with glee. I ran to my motorcycle and drove home in a flash. I changed back into my fighting clothes but hid my mask and bandanna in my bag. I reached a closing so I hopped off my bike and walked the rest of the way. When the building came into view I put on my mask and bandanna, hiding my hair and face. I loved this feeling. The about to fight feeling. I walked up to the man and asked. "Is this a fight house?" He studied me for what seemed like hours and finally anwsered. "Who wants to know?" "A fighter." He just shrugged and opened up. "Password is three knocks" he said behind me. It was the same concept as before. I looked for a curtain and found my ticket in. I pulled it away and knocked three times like he said. The door swung open and I walked in. I breathed in the atmosphere. Blood and sweat. Shouts and crys. Punches and kicks. Bodys hitting the floor. Referees counting. Cheers. It was my home. The one I grew up in. The way I lived. I walked up to the ring and to the rest of the fighters.
Several people looked at me in confusion. I guess. No one liked new people. But as soon as they looked they turned back. I observed the current fight. How they moved. Predicting their next moves. It came naturally to me. Behind the fighters was of course, the tally board. But next to it... was a group of men. They all looked to be between seventeen and twenty one. The first one was the shortest and had long blonde hair. He was super white and had brown eyes. Obviously the youngest. The second one looked a bit older. He was just an inch or so above blondy. He had darker skin with red hair with hazel eyes. The third one was was very attractive. He was the second tallest. He had tan skin with pitch black styled hair and green eyes. He was definitely confident. His body posture showed it. The fourth and final one was the tallest. He had light brown curly hair also very pasty. With dark brown eyes. There was no doubt in my mind, these guys were attractive. But they were also with the other side if fighters. This was going to be fun.
