Mystery man

As soon as the fight finished I took my eyes off the handsome devils across from me and actually paid attention to the next part. "NEXT UP WE HAVE THE ALL TIME FAVORITE. THE UNDEFEATED CHAMP!" The ref screamed. "PLEASE WELCOME OUR VERY OWN... THUNDER" The third handsome devil in the group waltzed up to the ring and waved. He acted like royalty. Blowing kisses and waving around. I never did that. I was always modest. Maybe he needs to be taught a lesson. I thought to myself. Man I really am crazy. "WHO DARES TO CHALLENGE HIM?" He looked around for a competitor. Every single fighter around me winced in his glory. It was my turn now. "I CHALLENGE THE CHAMP!" I screamed out. Every single eye followed my voice and studied my body. Some laughed and others were silent with mouths on the floor.

"Listen pretty lady-" he began but I interrupted. "No. You listen to me. It happens every time. I challenge someone and they doubt me. Just stop questioning my decision and fight. DAMN." I said as I hopped in the ring. He looked at me with awe while everyone else shut their mouths. "I admire your confidence." He stated. "And I admire your acceptance. Usually guys would just beg me for some time between the sheets." I smiled at him. "May the best win." He said and I repeated. The bell rang and we both circled each other like usual. The smoke from cigars and vape filled the air. It gave it a more dramatic affect on the fight. It covered a lot of the crowd for us but they could see us just fine.

He decided to throw the first punch but I dodged. He tried every move but I dodged them all. His face began to soften as I moved through his clutches. As he was observing my face through the mask I upper cut him right in the jaw. He fell back from the impact but was fast to recover. He was shocked that I could hit him with such force. I'm sure no one has been able to for a while. Thats why he's so cocky. Once again he was distracted even for a second. I punched him right in the nose and it bled out. I became distracted with the blood, so that he was able to land his first hit. I got pushed back and felt my anger rising. The smoke became so thick that it covered the ring like fog. He seemed unable to see me so I used it to my advantage. I snuck behind him and punched his neck causing him to fall onto the ground. Everyone gasped.

I walked over to him and kneed him in the gut as he got up. He underestimated me. Just like my parents. And that dough bag James. I kept fighting without realizing it. I was lost in my own train of thought. I kept punching and kicking until he was on the ground once more. He tried to get up once again but I finished by knocking him out and gaining satisfaction by hearing his body hit the floor. No one made a sound. "ONE" the ref began. Everyone just stared at me with fear and shock. The refs voice became fuzzy to me. Once again I was lost in thought. How could they want to get rid of me that fast? Was I not good enough? The ref walked over to me and raised my hand yelling "WINNER!" It felt so good to fight my stress and problems out of me. Everyone began to cheer. The three handsome devils dragged him out of the ring as I went up to the ref for my prize. For beating the champ i made almost 5,000, not including the other fights I won that night. "What name do you go by?" The ref asked me. I let the question linger in the air as everyone became impatient. "My name is nightshade." I said into the microphone. The while room erupt into cheers. It was nice to feel special. "The nightshade?" The ref asked emphasizing 'the' I let every one reach the end of their chairs before admitting to my name. "Yes. I am the nightshade."

By the end of the night, I made 21,647 dollars. More than I've ever won. But just by a couple thousand. I was tired from the fights. But it was worth it. I drove home and collapsed as soon as my head hit the pillow.
