Chapter 13 - Promise fulfilled

Izuku was in the break room resting waiting for them to prepare for the 3rd event then they were all called to the stands but different ones from the audience Izuku was the first to be called on he was facing Hitoshi Shinso Izuku didn't know his quirk but he wasn't going to underestimate him either when they entered the arena they heard a buzzer telling them to start.

Izuku looked to the other boy and he was the first to speak "I remember you, because you were all the hype throughout the oschool a already think of you as a hero a student of UA who is already capable of fighting a top class villians who is also a son of Endeavor I bet it's easy for people like you to get to the top but me it's a struggle tell me how is that fair".

Izuku processed every word he said but he also noticed the boy had not used his quirk so Izuku stayed in place then the boy spoke again "having a quirk like that must be nice I bet everyone has always told you that you can be a great hero with that quirk of yours am I right"

Izuku looked his words over again and noticed every time he spoke he wanted a reply then Izuku thought of different quirks he might have and pin pointed them down three possible quirks.

Izuku POV

One: Hallucinations he could be messing with my mind ma
king me see what is not really there and trying to distract me for a sneak attack so the best defense would be to generate flames my flames to stop him from getting near me best to do that now.

Two: Absortion he could be waiting for me to release my flames so he could get a power up and use it against him so if that is the case it is best to just use One For All.

Three: Mind Manipulation which goes in with Hallucination but it would be different because he could have done it at any time but he was trying to get him to talk which means talking with him could activate his powers which is a big possibility but there was a few others but best to approach him without activating my quirk.

I started running towards him as fast as I could and I saw him start to panick then he sent a punch towards my face I ducked and tackled him then slammed him to the ground and barrel rolled forward with his body still with me then I kicked him sending his body towards the edge of the arena I then saw him making an attempt to get up but I was faster and rushed him again and sent a punch to his gut knocking the wind out of him I then sent an uppercut to his jaw sending him out of the arena he landed on the grass then I stood on the arena looking down to him and asked "what was your quirk".

He got up holding his jaw and said "Brainwashing if you talk to me then I can tell you what to do other kids teased me for it saying it was the quirk of a villian but I only ever wanted to be a hero" I smiled at his response in a way he was just like me and said "yeah people always telling others we won't be what we want that is why you have to fight for it and show you are better than what they think you are".

I left the arena and back to the student waiting area.

A/N now all the other fights are the same so we will only be covering Izuku's fights

I continued to watch the other battles they were interesting to say the least then my name was on the board and I was facing Shoto Todoroki my little brother we both made our way to the arena then we heard the buzzer giving us permission to start I charged him with my One For All and dodged an ice attack sent towards me then I sent a punch towards him without One For All and it landed then a punch to the ribs which he dodged and put a ice barrier separating us I broke through it to see him waiting for me then he asked "why are you not using your fire to fight me".

I nearly laughed at those word I then asked "Why won't you" Shoto showed his curiosity and hostility with his eyes then he said "I vowed to never use that man's quirk I will show I don't need his quirk to be strong" I laughed at his response and said "that quirk is yours as much as it is mine we were born with with it he may have inherited it to us but it is an extension of me and so it belongs to me, so if you are that foolish to think you can even remotely beat me without your full strength" I then sent a punch to his gut but he had more muscle than Hitoshi so it wasn't as easy to knock the wind out of him.

I jumped backed and saw him activate his flames around his whole left side and I did the same around my body and we sent our flames towards each other we were both being pushed back I used One for All to hold my ground he put a wall of ice behind him then I felt my body changing and it felt good then I felt a locked potential of power and all I had to do was unlock it when I pushed more I felt that barrier break and my flame increase in power it pushed him through his ice wall and he was out of bounds.

I had won and proven I was better then him it was silent but then I heard the crowds cheer for me and I felt alive more than ever.

I was in the rest room waiting for my turn again when I caught a glance of me in the mirror to my eyes and they were now a teal color I then drunk some n was my turn again this time I was fighting Tenya Iida I made my way to the arena and the buzzer went off and this time he tried rushing me and I quickly dodged and tripped him and kicked him off the arena that was the quickest match yet.

I again made my way to the bleachers to see Katsuki's battle then when he was the victor I made my way to the Arena this is what everyone was waiting for and I was eager to see how this would go he rushed me and sent an explosion in my face and the smoke blinded me and I felt myself being tackled to the ground and punches to my jaw Kacchan was being brutal this time only fair to return the favor he kicked him off of him and jumped onto him and used One for All and sent multiple punches to his face then took his arm and flipped him from over him and used his flames to pushed them off the ground and flipped and kicked him to the ground and started falling with him and grabbed him and threw him out of bounds and landed softly and he looked to his father and All Might and put his fist up showing a sign of success and he was proud he had fulfilled his promise to All Might and his father.
