To no surprise whatsoever, things between Zeke and I really didn't change when we entered high school.
I found some new friends like Mikaela and have kept one of my best friends, Paige, from my old school. They are the most loyal friends' anyone can ever come across.
Zeke became a total sports star in lacrosse. Not a total shock. After all, he has always been pretty athletically gifted. He has his own friends that he likes to hang out with.
We haven't had too many classes together throughout ninth and tenth grade, but that's fine with me.
Zeke has been in a relationship with his irritating air headed girl named Mallory Graham.
Yes, the exact same Mallory who had a dog food pie shoved in my face on the first day of freshman year. I still have as of yet to thank her for the terrible serviced dog food facial.
They have been together since ninth grade when she figured out they are "perfect for each other." Ever since the first day of high school, Mallory has had a metaphorical ball and chain strapped to Zeke's ankle so she'll always be his. Isn't she just the sweetest?
Seriously, what does he see in her? Other than big boobs and a low morals policy. I know he's definitely not with her for her award-winning nice personality.
I'm not bitter about it. I mean, two people who are kind of full of themselves should be a couple.
Honestly, I used to have a crush on Zeke when we were little, especially after we kissed, but as time had gone by, my feelings for him have mostly dissipated.
I mean it was an innocent kiss when we were seven. It's not like a kiss at that age truly means anything.
I bet he really hasn't thought of me too much in these past couple of years.
Tomorrow starts the second week of my junior year of high school. Last week wasn't so bad. I was able to get into all of the classes I wanted. I even got into the level one class of guitar. I know that doesn't sound like much, but I'm really looking forward to learning how to play.
The only fluke in my junior year, so far, is that I have an assigned seat right next to Zeke Danvers in English.
It's the only class we have together.
It's not awkward.
Okay, well, maybe it's slightly awkward.
Hey, at least I know that if Mallory knows that Zeke and I sit next to each other in English, then she'll be fuming. Win-win for me.
I mean, we occasionally say 'hey' to each other as our eyes meet when our paths cross in the hallway at school, but other than that we don't really speak to one another much.
