'Hana's P.O.V'
The hideout was quiet when I returned
The air inside still held the faint scent of smoke and old concrete a familiar weight, like the place was stuck in its own version of time. One that always felt like it was waiting for something to break
I dropped my jacket over the chair and checked the rooms one by one
No Jimin
I stood in the middle of the common room, frown drawn on my face as I read two unread messages from my phone, both from a burner line I knew belonged to him
'Don't wait up'
'He called'
He
I didn't need a name I knew exactly who it was
Of course it was my dad
He could vanish without a word, no explanation, no warning all because my father snapped his fingers again?
And yet he was the one always preaching about keeping me within arm's reach! "can't leave you alone, Hana" "It's not safe out there" "I need to know where you are at all times"
My ass! the hypocrisy is giving!
And maybe it was the conversation with Yoongi still lingering in my mind, but something about this felt worse than usual. Like a warning I'd ignored too many times was finally getting louder
I pressed my fingers to my temples, trying to hold back the sting behind my eyes
"This is what loyalty looks like now, huh?" I whispered to no one
Always being second to someone else's game
And the worst part was a part of me was starting to wonder if Jimin chose to disappear sometimes, not because of duty
