『Section 4』
I immediately unraveled myself from between the man's arms. His plump lips tilted up into a smirk and he ran his hand through his thick black hair.
Flattening down his blue suit, he looked up at me with lustful eyes.
"Well, you must be the beautiful Mina Song, right?", he spoke, making his smooth voice sound like music to my ears.
"And you are?", I asked warily, raising an eyebrow at him. I gripped my phone tightly, waiting for the right moment to call the police.
He cleared his throat, "Meet your COO, Park Jimin", he smiled, holding out his hand for a handshake.
Realization dawned upon me, and I immediately relaxed out of my stiff position. I bowed several times in apology, and shook his extended hand. I shouldn't have misjudged him like that, now I felt bad.
"I'm Mina Song".
"I know, I've heard a lot about you", he replied, carefully observing my face.
"Like what?", I inquired, slightly interested in what he knew about me.
"The whole office has been talking about. You're quite stunning", he said, looking me up and down with his desire filled gaze. Was he checking me out?
The pit of my stomach tightened into knots and an unknown feeling of attraction settled the depths of my heart. There was something about this man that made me weak in the knees, it made me want to give myself up to him.
And that's when I knew, we were better off being friends. He was too much to handle and I didn't want to whisked up into a web of heartbreak again. It happened once and I didn't need it to happen again.
"Well it was nice getting to know you Mr.Park. I'll have to get going", I told him, walking around him.
Before I could take another step, a strong hand grasped my elbow in a tight hold. I turned around to see what he wanted only to be greeted with a huge smile and a hand extended with a phone.
"Give me your number. I want to be friends with you", he pushed his phone forwards in my direction.
His whole demeanor changed and the dangerous glint in his eyes was gone. Instead, his cheeks formed round circles and his eyes were squished into crescent shapes, making him appear cute.
I gave him my number and out of the blue he invited me to have lunch with him the next day.
"What a weird guy. What could he possibly want?", I wondered aloud, entering my car.
*******
"So you're telling me that the COO asked you out for lunch?", Jin raised his eyebrows, sitting across from me with his head resting on his hands.
I nodded, "Yeah. Should I go or not?", I asked.
"Go. If he tells you anything you gotta tell us though", Jungkook swiveled over to us, joining the conversation.
"God, you guys love gossip more than the grandma's in a village", I groaned, leaning back into my chair, massaging my temples.
"I mean, it's pretty entertaining. Even you know it", Hoseok walked over to my desk, dropping another pile of papers on it.
"Even more work?", I groaned, rolling my eyes.
"In fact, you can do mine to", Yoongi dropped his extra stack of files on to my desk, which landed with a loud thud.
I was quick to realize that work in the corporate field catches up to you in seconds. Even though it seemed like a tremendous amount of work, I had a long way to go before I could even think about working my way up the corporate ladder.
"Fine I'll do it", I said, looking up to a smiling Yoongi. His lips curled up into a smile and his gums were apparent as the skin near his eyes crinkled. He was really cute.
"That's the spirit!", he ruffled my hair and left the room, followed by everyone else.
"Damn that's the happiest he's been since I've got here", I laughed, getting up and stretching.
*******
I waited patiently at the nearby restaurant Jimin asked me to meet him at. I had been sitting here for the past ten minutes, swinging my feet back and forth from boredom. I understood that he was busy and he had a lot of work, but being stood up wasn't going to slide by me so easily. Anyways, this situation seemed way to familiar for me to endure.
Before I was about to get up and leave, a crazy looking Jimin stumbled through the doors of the building. His eyes darted from person to person, and when they finally found mine they lit up into a million fireworks.
"Minaaaaaaa", he beamed, steering his way around the crowd of people in the restaurant.
"Hi Mr. Park", I smiled as he sat down. Immediately his glowy face darkened into a cold expression.
"Don't call me that. Call me Jimin. Repeat after me. JIMIN", he urged, pointing a finger in my direction.
"Jimin", I chuckled, setting aside my bag that I was about leave with.
"That's right. Sorry I was late, Cindy from the HR team was bothering me", he started to explain his adventures with Cindy in the bedroom when I cut him off.
"Alright, I think that's enough for today", I held out a hand, motioning him to stop continuing.
"Fine. I'll tell you the reason I wanted to meet you though", he leaned in closer to me, wiggling a finger at me to come closer as well.
"One of the guys on your team gave me this file", he took it out from underneath the table and slid it towards me.
"This is actually not for me, but it's for CEO Kim, my best friend, Kim Taehyung", a smile on his lips started to grow more and more apparent as he continued explaining.
"So how does this concern me?", I asked, wondering what he was implying.
A mischievous glint sparkled in his eyes, making me feel like I was supposed to anticipate a huge change in my life.
"I want you to give him this file. You see, Taehyung hasn't talked to girls in a long time, so why don't you go over to him and break the awkwardness", he smirked, tapping the manila file sitting in front of me.
"Are you asking me to -", my enragement was cut off by his pleas and threats.
"I swear you have to do it, please. By the way, I'm your boss so you have to listen to me anyways", he took my hands into his and squeezed them tightly.
"Fine I'll do it , but I have one request", I told him, pulling my hands out of his.
"What is it?", he asked me, looking ecstatic that I agreed to his ridiculous deal.
"You have to pay for lunch".
