『Section 7』

"Mr.Kim asked me to come here?", I whisper yelled at him, putting the files next to my mouth, making sure no one could see what I was saying.

He nodded, "I don't know what you did, but I'm proud of you", he patted me on the back.

Right now I wasn't in the position to accept his praises. All I was thinking about the reason I specifically was invited to deliver these files to the CEO. It felt like all the anxiousness I used to get before my middle school presentations were bottled up and suddenly released at the same time. My poor weak heart wasn't able to deal with so much emotion at once.

I blindly walked into the room, while Jimin cheerfully held the door open for me. Today, I worked hard all morning, running from printer to printer to collect documents. The top buttons of my blouse were open, exposing the skin right above the curve of my chest. The tight skirt I was wearing also started to ride upwards, going higher than its mid-thigh length.

As I walked towards the figure casually sitting on the desk in front of me, a red flush started to spread over my face. He grew closer into view as I walked towards him and I could see that his coat was off. The sleeves of his white dress shirt were folded up, exposing the tan skin of his forearms and the first few buttons of his dress shirt were undone showing off his defined collarbones and a sliver of a tattoo. He was sitting on top of the desk, legs spread apart and each hand holding his body up on either side.

I wasn't able to get a good look at his tattoo, since it was on the side of his neck. From what I could see, it looked like the beginnings of a snake.

I gulped, holding the file out to him, "Here are your files, CEO Kim". His eyes were dark and his jaw was sharp. He was looking directly into my eyes, and he knew what how it was making me feel. He caught sight of the missing buttons on my blouse, and the corner of his lips titled up ever so slightly.

"You may leave now", he grabbed the files out of my hand and stood to his full height. Intimidated, I turned around and scurried away. As soon as I was out of the room, I felt myself take a deep breath. The tattoo on his collarbone and neck had my mind wandering to places it shouldn't have. My interest was soaring and I knew it was apparent on my face.

"How was it?", Jimin walked alongside me, looking quite interested about what went down in the room.

"Nothing", I played it off, shrugging.

"I don't think so~", he sung, slinging his arm around my shoulder for the millionth time. I had only known him for two weeks, and he was already so touchy. Easing myself out of his grip, I faced him.

"I gave him the file and that was it. Nothing less and nothing more", I told him, with hands on my hips.

"Alright killer, if you say so", he scoffed, and walked away. Huffing, I turned around and stepped into the elevator.

Today was Friday. For the whole week, I was just delivering files and running back and forth from my floor to the 15th floor. Every single day. To be honest I was over it. I was convinced that it was a sick joke and Jimin was messing with me. What if he was just lying and I had been barging in to the CEO's office the whole time?

"What is up with them", Jungkook approached me, sipping his coffee. I had just gotten off the elevator after I had done the usual.

"I don't know. I hope this won't continue", I sighed, plopping down on the chair, worn out from all the walking.

"Jungkook, go make her some tea", Jin yelled out from his side of the room. Jungkook immediately ran off to make me tea, leaving his steaming coffee on my desk. I chuckled, he was actually really cute, now that I noticed it. Even the way that he would bite down on his pen and stare off into space when he was concentrating hard.

"Here you go", Jungkook's voice snapped me out of my thoughts. Startled, I looked at his smiling face holding out a piping hot cup of tea.

"Thanks Jungkook", I smiled at him, taking the cup into my hands.

"No problem", he winked, walking away.

For the rest of the day, I couldn't get my mind off the tattoo under Taehyung's collar. There was something about the curve of the tattoo, like I had seen it before. Almost like a snake. The mark agitated me even though I tried to get it out of my head.

As I walked towards my car, I felt a vibration from my handbag. Digging through it, I found my phone and picked up the call.

"Hey Namjoon", I spoke while pressing the button under my steering wheel.

"Are you heading home?", he asked, sounding urgent.

"Yeah what's up?", I started driving out of the parking lot. It was getting dark and the hues of the sky started to become a mix of dark blue and purple and the moon was already visible.

"Don't go home, come to mine instead", he begged.

"Why?", I asked warily, a little shocked from his desperate voice. He almost never sounded so needy. He was a man that was always in charge of himself and I knew there was something wrong.

"Don't ask, just be here in five. Come as fast as you can".

"I'll be there soon".

"Namjoon?", I panted, walking in through his front door. He was dressed in a crisply ironed suit and his hair was gelled back.

"Wear this", he thrusted a heavy looking bag into my hands and looked at me with a grave look on his face. His mouth was down turned and he was playing with his fingers. Something was definitely up.

"What wrong?", I asked softly.

"I need you to be my date".
