i scribble down notes on a paper as i follow along to whatever that's coming out of my professors mouth.
i glance over at jack who's not paying attention at all. he's literally staring at a wall. he catches me staring and flashes me a goofy smile. he takes out his phone and i feel a buzz in my lap.

jack doesn't respond back and i furrow my brows and look over at him. his face is in the crook of his elbow and he's silently laughing.
once our class is finally over i stand up and throw my notebook and pencil in my backpack. before i can pick it up, jack swings it over his shoulder to carry it for me.

"no problem at all, baby cakes." he wraps his free arm around my neck as we step out into the hallway.
